The ventilated veats kinda suck
Hey everyone,
Hit one of the hotter days since I got my 2022 King Ranch, and the ventilated seats did not do as much as I hoped for. I understand how the system works—they just pull in ambient cabin air and pump it through the leather—but the factory airflow is just too weak when the cabin is hot.
I'm looking to see if anyone has successfully rigged up a fix. I'm currently considering two options:
- The A/C Pocket/Curtain: Blocking off the lower rear opening under the front seat, turning the rear climate to "floor," and creating a trapped pocket of cold air directly beneath the seat for the intake fan to pull from.
- The Force-Feed Duct: Using flexible tubing or a 3D-printed Y-splitter on the floor vent to directly route/force-feed chilled air straight into the seat blower intake.
Has anyone here actually done either of these? If you have, I’d love to see pictures of how you mounted it under the seat and hear how much of a difference it actually made. Thanks!
