Job applications feel broken, so I built something to make resume tailoring less painful

Applying to jobs started feeling ridiculously repetitive.

Most people end up rewriting the same resume again and again for different roles, while ATS filters reject resumes before a recruiter even sees them.

So I started building something to make that process less painful.

The idea is simple:
help people turn rough experience or old resumes into cleaner, more targeted resumes tailored to specific job descriptions.

Right now it can:
• optimize resumes for ATS
• rewrite content to sound more natural and human
• suggest improvements based on the role
• adapt resumes for different applications automatically

Mainly built this for students, career switchers, and people applying to lots of jobs who are tired of manually tweaking resumes every time.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback/suggestions from people here. Thanks 😄

Been working on this for a few months alongside my day job. The core idea: instead of handing you a blank template, it asks you questions in a chat and builds the resume from your answers.

It also does ATS scoring, finds keyword gaps for specific job descriptions, and tries to write bullets that don't sound like a bot wrote them (that part was the hardest to get right).

It's rough around the edges. I'm more interested in finding out what's actually broken than getting compliments (would appreciate lol) right now.

Try it: resumechat.co

Would love brutal feedback.
