Hey everyone,

I’m borrowing my dad’s Ford Focus Mk2 Turnier (Estate/Kombi) for a month-long road trip and want to mount a roof box on it. Problem is: I’m not sure which roof rack / carrier system is compatible with this car.

The car has the factory roof rails (the longitudinal bars running front to back along the roofline) — so I’d assume I need crossbars that clip onto those rails, but I’m not 100% sure about the fitting type or which brands/models are confirmed to work.

My questions:

1.	Does the Mk2 Turnier have raised rails or flush/integrated rails? (I think raised, but want to confirm)  
2.	Which crossbar systems are confirmed to fit? (Thule, Yakima, Mont Blanc, etc.)  
3.	Any specific load capacity I should be aware of for the rails themselves?  
4.	Any gotchas or things to watch out for when attaching a roof box to this setup?

I’ll add pictures of the actual roof rails in the comments so you can see exactly what we’re working with.
