Impressions:

My first spray of this felt very room / toilet freshener like with a sharp and bitter citrus. Considering I like vetiver and fresh fragrances even.

But, after 2 weeks of spraying it here and there… This fragrance surprised me today.

It smells AMAZING! The bitterness it had 2 weeks back is 90% gone, and the citruses have mellowed down. Its there for 5 minutes, but after that you get a nice lemoney scent with some florals and a lot of vetiver in the backdrop. In 30-40 mins it starts getting a more leathery base (possibly from the cedarwood) and gets a little more floral (possibly the amber in the base).

Feeling:

Imagine its Spring, and you just had a shave in the morning, put on a nicely washed linen shirt with couple buttons loose, and went for a stroll at a garden. Thats how it smells. Very fresh and energetic.

Verdict: (8/10)

Now, I got this as I thought it was cheapie and I needed a portable scent. But then I realised its not cheap for a 50ml, and so 2.6k for 100ml means a good ME scent quality. And it did prove it today.

I do get how people might say it smells like a detergent or cleaner or whatever, but thats just the first 5 minutes, and I honestly feel with more maceration it’s gonna get better.

So you DESPERATELY need to macerate you Fattans guys.

Can be a good summer signature scent. Cheers!

I found this 10+ year old bottle of Ferrari Red Perfume while visiting my parents.

I was met with a wave of nostalgia, and remembered when we used to live in a small town and visited Pune once in a while just to go and shop in Malls. My dad used to try random fragrances and buy what both of us liked, even though I didn’t know shit😂😂 (Dads man). Probably what got me curious about perfumes too.

As for the fragrance, its a leathery barbershop aftershave like fragrance. Lasts 5 hrs on skin.

Whats that nostalgic perfume or fragrance for you and why??

As I have been collecting I have noticed few comments and also experienced a difference in how designer / niche or high quality pefumes open up in the air when you spray. They project so much better and much more airy.

Middle Eastern brands on the other hand are denser and no “AIRY”. Now does that mean they are lower quality?

Designers are sure expensive but that doesn’t mean they are superior quality by a great margin since a lot of the money is for the brand itself.

So I want to know opinions of folks on this. Would you say designers are much more higher quality and is it worth it to buy over 2-3 ME?

Hi folks, I have been SIPing for 2 years now and am 24 years old. I have tried to keep it simple with 2 funds only:

  1. Large Midcap 250: (31k every month) staying safe with the 100 largecap and getting some midcap exposure from the 150 top ones.

  2. Flexi-cap: (20k every month) For limited exposure to small caps, as I don’t feel very comfortable in SIPing in a small cap fund.

  3. Gold ETF: 4k every month

Both of them have 0.3-0.6 expense ratios.

I could be called a bit risk-averse but since I am planning to invest at least 10-15 years (might take a little out if I plan on a house in 7 or so years). Does this portfolio make sense?
