UofT portal changed from “Admitted to alternate program” back to “Under Review” ??

Yesterday my UofT portal showed “Admitted to an alternate program of study” for CS, but today it changed back to “Application Under Review”. No email and I still can’t see the alternate program. Why they edging me?

Which CS offer is worth choosing? Genuinely stuck!!!

Hey everyone, I’m deciding between Carleton CS co-op, uOttawa CS co-op, and Queen’s Computing. My main priorities are strong job placement(I know I have to make projects and develop skills on my own but I m still not sure if uni have any influence in this factor) and I love building network with people. I don’t really care where I live and I’m fine with any campus/city. Which one you guys think I should choose and why?
Please don’t just say “if it’s not UW/UofT it doesn’t matter” 😭 I still have to choose one at the end of the day. Thank you

Honest thoughts on Queens Computing?

Got into Queen’s Computing, uOttawa CS co-op, Carleton CS co-op, Western CS, and York CS.

My goal is software engineering/AI, so internships and employability matter a lot, but I also care about campus life and overall experience.

For current Queen’s students:

  • How good are internship opportunities actually?
  • Is QUIP worth it?
  • Is the program actually good?
  • Would you still choose Queen’s over my other options?

Would appreciate honest opinions from current students/grads.

Honest thoughts on uOttawa CS co-op?

Hey everyone, I recently got admitted to uOttawa CS co-op along with Queen’s Computing, Carleton CS co-op, Western CS, and York CS. Right now I’m seriously considering uOttawa, but I want honest opinions from actual students in the program instead of just rankings online.

My goal is to work in software engineering/AI in the future. I’ve heard uOttawa has a really strong co-op system and government opportunities, but I also know Queen’s has a stronger student experience overall, so I’m trying to understand the real tradeoffs.

I’d really appreciate honest answers to things like:

  • How strong is the co-op system ACTUALLY?
  • How hard is it to land your first co-op?
  • Do most students get good placements?
  • How stressful is the program?
  • Do you enjoy the overall university experience/social life?
  • If you had the choice again, would you still pick uOttawa CS over my other options?

I’d appreciate any honest advice, especially from upper-year students or people already in co-op.

Yes, I know people say that after Waterloo and UofT it doesn’t matter which university you go to, but if I still have to choose one, which university is the best option in Ontario?

I’d appreciate any insights on co-op, program quality, student life, and other factors that could help with making a decision. I also want to mention that I’ll be living in the city since no university is close to my house
