Got rejected from all three unis I applied for (masters, international). Where to go from here?

As the title said, I applied to 3 unis, course-based CS-related programs.

For context; I am already experienced (+3 years) but I am looking for more niche experience (mainly in health-tech). I applied to course-based programs (McMaster, Windsor, Dalhousie), generic responses from them all, but Windsor stated a low gpa explicitly (73% bachelors program, graduated in 2020).

I was wondering where to go from here, should I apply for more course-based program for winter intake (if available). Is it worth to look into thesis-based program? Or is the GPA hurdle even bigger there?

McGill and speaking french

Hi, I am considering mcgill for biomedical sciences, and I am wondering how important it is to speak french? If i don’t will it ruin the experience for me? Is it hard to adjust without it? any advice would be helpful.

osap help urgent

I forgot to add my middle name in my OSAP application, and so I requested a change. I'm still in high school, but I accepted my uni offer. I heard that I can contact my uni's financial aid office to get a response quickly or make a change to my personal information. I'm just asking if this is correct, and if so, do I need to prepare any information beforehand for when they call? thank you so much. also this post may be stupid but this is my first time doing smth like this and im a bit panicked

Pre req for rad therapy (as intl student)

Hello good day, Id like information about the 1 year of pre-requisite required to apply to the radiation therapy program, what is the name the program I should apply to? I understand I need the 3 sciences, social sciences and math. From my understanding, should I apply to a BSC of biochemistry and then transfer to RT? Or is there a specific program? Thank you for your time<3

McMaster CS or Carleton CS

both have generally the same co-op rates although carleton has a slightly better co-op program and is more up to date. carleton is giving more money but it feels weird to go to it since i got accepted 2 days after i applied to it

mcmaster has better reputation and is closer to me.

what should i do?

What should i know as a Egyptian High School student applying to a Canadian University

Hello, I'm a High School student currently, I wanted to know what the general requirements are to get accepted to a university as an international student.
What should i do to increase my chances of being accepted?
What are the specifics of actually studying in Canada, what's the study permit?
Are partial scholarships possible for Umanitoba University?

Is PR after studying a valid possibility?

Don't come to Carleton University-egregious 50% tuition increase

I’m an international nursing student at Carleton University. Last year, our tuition was 38.8k (Sept–April). The posted tuition for Fall 2026 was originally 41k (screenshot attached).

But I just received an email saying the tuition will increase to 59.3k for Fall 2026. That’s a 52.5% increase.

However, Carleton has clearly stated on its website that “international tuition fees are subject to an annual increase of 5–8%.”

For incoming international nursing students: don’t come to Carleton. UOttawa is much cheaper and offers 70k scholarships, while Carleton is doing this to us.

International students are being treated as cash cows, with no respect whatsoever. You have no guarantee of how much you’ll pay to graduate.

Carleton has completely stripped away whatever remaining love or trust I had for it.

DM me if you'd like to join me in protesting or sign a collective email. The official tuition will be posted by the end of June, so we still have room to fight for it.

Can you do a Minor at another University?

I accepted my offer to Queen’s University and it’s definitely where I want to be for my major, but I don’t know if I’m particularly fond of minors offered beyond my current subject.

I’m from Toronto and was hoping to maybe minor in a subject only offered at TMU. Is this actually possible or am I being overzealous?

I’d really love an answer to this!!
