Questions for American transfer students to McGill

Hi everyone! I am starting college this fall and am looking at possibly transferring to McGill university in two years. I’m trying to weigh my options and it would be really nice to get some input from people who have already/ are going through studying there. I wanna know, what has your experience been like at McGill and how was the transfer process?
Do you think it was worth it for you versus the huge financial cost?
How much are you actually paying per year to go to school there? I have found numbers online but I’m not sure how accurate it is.
One more thing, I was homeschooled for my whole life until I started taking a couple of classes at a community college nearby. Any other homeschooled students here experience issues or complications because of that?

I appreciate any advice, thanks!

Writing style for dual POV books

Hello everyone! I am currently working on writing a new book, and I have some questions that I’m hoping you all can help with.
Context. My book is a lesbian YA romance set in the modern day. There are two characters with POVs, the MC and the love interest. The love interest gets less POVs but still has some influential chapters for herself.

Here are the questions;

- When you are reading a YA romance novel, do you prefer a first person POV or third? I’ve heard arguments for both, but what do you prefer? And why? Does that change with multiple POV books?

- Since my book does have multiple POVs, would it make sense to do first person for the MC’s chapters and third for the love interest’s? Or is that too weird or complicated.

- Do you like chapter names as a reader? Or is just stating who’s POV it is enough in your opinion?

- Finally, are there any things in first or third person POV that you find annoying to read? Any pet peeves you have? I want to hear about them.

My handwriting sucks… and I don’t know how to fix it

Ok so I (18f) have kind of always had bad handwriting. I was homeschooled and my parents didn’t put a ton of emphasis on me getting good handwriting, because they mostly just let me use computers for assignments and things.
Then when I got a little older (like 10ish) people would make fun of me for it and so I think I sort of stopped trying to get better as like a ‘fuck you I’m not gonna conform to societal norms or something.’ But I’m realizing now, that was probably exactly what the bullies wanted….
Anyway fast forward to now. I have a job in an office, and I’m starting college in the fall. Both of these things require me to write sometimes. But I’m stuck at like a middle school level with my handwriting… (it’s pretty legible, but not not nice or neat at all). I’m embarrassed every time I have to write something and will go through like 5 pieces of paper just trying to get something that doesn’t look horrendous. I hate it. It makes me feel immature and honestly, stupid.
But I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve read that you need to journal everyday and that will fix it, but I just keep writing in the same damn handwriting and it doesn’t improve anything. I got one of those handwriting books, but that hasn’t worked well either. So does anyone have any suggestions on how to get better? Or do I just need to lock in and do the handwriting book over and over again until it finally makes sense to me…?
Any advice is welcome. Thx
