Does anyone have a lawyer that will help 2 expats marry in Cambodia?
Hello all, my fiance and I would like to get married here in Cambodia, does anyone know if it is possible? Or if we can hire a lawyer to help us/ how long it would take / how much it would cost.
We’re from 2 different countries meeting in Cambodia
Edit: I’ll be on a work visa, he’ll be on a tourist visa. We are Christian and Catholic
Is 400usd + free accom enough to live comfortably in Krong Pursat?
I’m 21f, solo traveller planning on staying for a couple of months, doing an internship through my uni in Cambodia.
Was wondering is 400usd (per month) is enough to live a decent quality of life? Accomm is paid for by the organisation: my expenses will be travel/transport, meals and leisure activities (not too much)
Also how much does an employment/business visa for 1 yr cost?
Thank you so much🫶❤️
Edit: salary is 400usd per month
Edit: I don’t really drink alcohol, and don’t party much. And I’m pretty fine with living local. My fiancé is in Canada and occasionally helps me out financially so not too too worried about starving or anything. Just want to be sort of self sufficient
Applicants from India: how quickly did you get your spousal PR? (Outland, Not Quebec)
Hello everyone,
My husband and I just put in our spousal sponsorship application, he’s a citizen. Currently it shows an estimated 17 months.
For applicants from India- how long did it take you from day 1 of application to receiving your spousal PR?
Chances of TRV, (Spousal Sponsorship underway)
Hi everybody!
My husband and I just got married and started the spousal sponsorship process, he is a citizen.
We’ve previously applied for TRV and failed, so I was wondering: are the chances of getting a TRV once we receive AOR actually higher? Current IRCC timelines are approx 17 months for the spousal PR to come through.
Have any of you successfully received a TRV after submitting a spousal sponsorship application? If yes, any tips?
Thank you all 😄
Ps: we used a lawyer for my pr package/application
Thinking about a job in Uşak as a foreigner. Would you recommend it?
I'm a solo female (21yo) wishing to live in Turkey for 1 year. I've been offered a job in Uşak and contemplating taking it.
I will be paid 33k TRY per month, and
accommodation is provided by the organisation. I was very recently living a student life and so am not expecting anything fancy. But do you think I could have a comfortable experience? I just don’t want to be stretched for money. Also after a few months I would like to take a few days trip to Tbilisi Georgia to meet some friends, do you think with a 33k TRY salary I would be able to save some money to buy the tickets?
Is it safe? Are people friendly? Is there any particular dress code, etc?
Thank you so much❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️
Moving to Diyarbakır for a job. What are some things I should know before moving?
Some context: the job pays 45k lira per month, is that enough to live a decent life (single person 21F).
Also my phone is only eSIM compatible, I read somewhere that esims are banned in turkey, is this true?
I wanted to know if Diyarbakır is safe for tourists and how much the average cost of living per month is.
Also if there's anything I should know before moving, any tips would be much appreciated. Also I do not speak Turkish, would it be a big problem? I am open to learning. My job posting would be for 12 months duration.
Thank you you🫶❤️
Edit: for anyone asking WHY: it's cause I'm fresh out of my bachelors programme and was offered a job, I just wanna experience the world a little before settling down

Back at my favourite place in the world after 5 years (OC)
I’m an Indian national, never travelled to Europe. Want to apply for a multiple entry Schengen visa.
Quick info: I (23F) am engaged to a Canadian citizen, he visits me around 4 times per year either in India or we travel to a SEA country.
I just got offered a job in turkey w a 1 year contract. And plan to move for it in October. I want to apply for a Schengen visa so my fiancé and I can meet in Europe (it’s much cheaper and easier that way instead of him always travelling to me/ sometimes there’s rly good deals from CA to EU). He is a very high earner and would be my sponsor. I currently have a bank balance of about 1000 euros. I’ve travelled internationally about 4 times in the last 2 years, to SEA and Africa.
If I asked politely in my cover letter, what are the chances I’d be given a multi entry visa for a longer duration?
Also, we are planning to have a court marriage in either Portugal or Georgia.
Cutest thing I’ve ever seen, he has my whole heart (OC)🥰💕🫶
I (23F) and my fiancé (35M) struggling with closing the gap and need help:(
My fiancé and I live 12,000km apart. We started dating in November of 2023, and just got engaged! But I am stuck feeling so hopeless.
He’s my whole world, and I’m his, but I feel so defeated. He tries to fly to me every 4-5 months, but I miss him so much. I was supposed to move to him somehow, but his country recently tightened up immigration, so now it’s impossible until after we get married. But another issue: he is divorced and my home country doesn’t allow remarriages/divorces 😭
We’re planning to fly to Georgia and get married there probably in Jan 27, but that’s so far away. Post that it takes close to 2 years to get spousal visa.
I feel like my life is stuck on hold, and I just feel like I don’t know how to live. It’s also pretty rough cause we have a bit of a lifestyle gap right now due to this distance.
I feel like we’ve been in Ldr for so long that it makes me sick to think about more distance, for nearly 2 years at that!!!
Please give me tips on how to cope
Been together nearly 3 years LDR, don't know how to close the gap :( I'd love tips on how to cope
Help: landlord trouble
Heyy everybody, I’m a student and I live in Panvel
When I moved out of hostel I was able to find an apartment here without a broker (straight to the landlord), I’ve rented the appt for 2 years now and my contract ends this weekend.
The problem is my landlord is an A.hole. I fear he won’t give me my 50k deposit back, and will push me around. What do I do?
I haven’t damaged the appt, but also when I moved in I didn’t document all of the damage, only some serious damages that were there before I moved in
Lawyer needed: special marriage act
Hi everybody! I’m looking for a lawyer to help me with marriage registration. I’m an Indian and my husband-to-be is Canadian. We’ve been quoted some outrageous amounts so far, so we’re looking for a lawyer that will get it done for a reasonable price.
We’re looking to register our marriage in September (just a court marriage). Also what’s the average price to get it done. Any contacts?
Thank you!!! ❤️
Edit: we’re looking to get married in Delhi
