Storing a KTM 390 Outside
I’m in the market for my first bike and keep coming back to either the 390 Duke or 390 Adventure. I just love the way they look, the idea of their high revving and lightweight characteristics. I’m a big fan of lightweight sports cars and I figure these are the motorcycle equivalent.
My hesitation is that there is no foreseeable future where I’m able to keep my bike stored inside. At best I can do a good cover in the shade. I live in central North Carolina, to give you an idea of the type of temperate/humid environment it’ll be in.
AI’s I’ve asked about this scenario consistently attempt to steer me away from KTM and towards a Japanese bike, while citing the electronics on KTMs as being flakey when the bikes are stored outside.
Is this a real concern I should have for bikes from the brand or am I just a victim of AIs regurgitating some BS they read on a forum post? Anyone in the KTM community storing their bike outside without issue? Thanks for any input. Cheers
