Is he no longer interested?

I’ve (F28) been dating an Aries guy (M26) for about a month. Things have been going really well — we’ve been seeing each other regularly, and even last week when I was super busy, we still met up three times on random spontaneous nights.

On Sunday we had a really sweet day together: lunch, a walk, he walked me to the station, kissed me, and said he’d text me next week. He’s not a big texter normally, but when he does message it’s usually to make plans.

It’s now Thursday and I haven’t heard from him. Part of me knows he’s just not a frequent texter, but another part of me is worried he’s pulling back. Should I be concerned? And realistically, when should I start to worry if he still hasn’t reached out?

If someone disappeared for weeks after two dates and then reappeared, would you respond? Is there a cut‑off?

Went on a couple of dates with a guy I met through mutual friends. We got on really well, ended up sleeping together on the second date, and then the texting started to fizzle. He went on holiday, I wrapped things up with a ‘maybe catch you once you’re back’ and he replied ‘sounds good’.

I knew he’d been back in London for a while… and nothing. Weeks went by. I genuinely thought he wasn’t interested and just left it.

Then last night, out of nowhere, he texts apologising for the delay and explains he had another holiday, a birthday, and his brother’s wedding all back‑to‑back. He asked how I’ve been. And to be fair, he messaged on a Tuesday at 7pm, so it’s not giving booty‑call vibes.

But I’m confused. Everyone I spoke to said ‘if he wanted to, he would’, so after weeks of silence I fully accepted he wasn’t into it. I moved on, didn’t chase, and then hello, he reappears.

I kind of want to respond because I did like him, and I get that life can be chaotic… but over 3 weeks of nothing?

I need another perspective. What’s your cut‑off point if someone pops back up after disappearing? Should I be wary that this could happen again?
