Will Call Pick up - Can I split up the tickets?

I can no longer attend and I have two extra GA tickets that I'm trying to give to my friends.

The issue is that they are arriving on different days, one is getting there Friday and the other on Saturday. If my Friday friend goes to will call first, can they pick up just one wristband, or will the staff force them to take both bands at the same time? I know some festivals require the you to put the wristbands on right at the window and won't just hand over a loose second one.

Has anyone dealt with splitting a Will Call order like this before? What's the best way to handle it so my Saturday friend doesn't get locked out? Thanks!

Has anybody ever worked with them before ? The number on their site sends me straight to voicemail and I haven’t been able to get a hold of them.

Am I being naive with the way in which I'm rebuilding our Electrical Safety Program?

I am the EHS manager at my job and have been in this position for a year. Early on, it was brought to my attention that our electrical safety program had not been updated in a very long time. There was also a specific incident that pushed the issue forward (no one got hurt, but it made it clear that we need to change what we have going for us).

The main issue is that unqualified employees have historically been allowed to reset certain equipment if it is considered safe to do so and the equipment is under normal operating conditions. However, there is no real written procedure explaining when they can do this. There is basically just an old memo saying they can.

At the same time, a master electrician about 30 years ago raised all of the reset arms inside the MCCs so unqualified employees could not reset them. Because of that, there has been tension between departments for years, and a lot of that has been passed down through previous employees and OJT training.

For the last few months, I have met with the departments involved, listened to their concerns, worked overnight to see the issue happen in real time, and tried to figure out how we can collaborate on change together. I am also very aware that this is not just a procedure issue. It is a culture issue too. There are years of people learning not to trust each other based on past actions, old habits, and what they were taught by previous employees.

I am trying to clarify when an operator can attempt one reset using an external reset button, when the equipment needs to be locked out, and when a qualified electrician needs to be called. I am also working on building up our LOTO program, writing procedures, creating documentation requirements, and making the escalation process clearer. My whole thought process has been based around change management. Start with one process, work with each department, collaborate on the training, see what works, and then build from there.

The plan would also include classroom training, on-the-job training, and frequent check-ins with the departments involved. I am trying to take this step by step because it is a very sensitive topic and people feel very strongly on both sides. There really is not much middle ground.

Ultimately, I want our newer employees to have better electrical safety training, understand the actual hazards they are working around, and know when they need to stop and call someone qualified. We are going through a big workforce transition right now, with longtime employees retiring who came up during a time when it was basically anything goes. I want the newer employees to be better prepared than that.

My hope is that better training and an actual written procedure will change how unqualified employees approach thermal overload resets. I do not want them blindly pressing buttons. I want them to understand what they are doing, what warning signs to look for, and when they need to stop.

However, our electrician wants me to completely remove the possibility of unqualified employees ever pressing the external reset button. They raised their concerns in a fairly confrontational way, and it has made me question whether I am underestimating the scope of this issue.

The electrician is very much a backbone of this facility, and I need them to work with me because their knowledge is extremely important to making this program work. I know their feedback comes with a lot of emotion because they care deeply about their job and keeping people safe. At the same time, I feel stuck trying to collaborate with someone who is very firm in their position and does not seem to trust me to lead this process.

So, am I being naive about trying to take this on? How do I move forward with collaborating when there is someone against it?

I am very aware that arc flash is no joke, and I do not want anyone to get hurt. Our equipment is old, the environment is highly corrosive, and it often feels like when one thing gets fixed, something else breaks. I really care about the people I work with and their safety. I know change is going to take time, but I also feel like I have to start somewhere.

I was hoping someone can give me realistic insight about what it will be like leaving the grounds on Monday the 14th. This is the first time my group is camping/traveling to the Gorge and I am trying to gauge what travel will be like on that Monday so I can book my flight home. I used to live in the Seattle area and I’m very familiar with SeaTac but going to the gorge will be a new experience for me!

Would an afternoon flight be pushing it? Or should I book a flight in the evening?

Ty 🫶🏻 I’m ecstatic about ABGT 700 💕
