Need advice for car budget (CTC 50lpa)

Me (50+lpa) and and wife (~20lpa) are planning to buy our first car. I have been driving my father's car for over a decade, but never owned.

I'm taking 17-18l as maximum budget (for something life Duster DCT). But it would be only me who would be financing the car.

Any suggestions on the budget? Does it makes sense to get a loan (I have cash as well) or opt for car lease policy from my company?

Ideal budget for the first car with 3LPM in hand salary.

30M here. I'm planning to get my first vehicle in couple of months. What should be ideal budget, considering I would drive for next 5-6 years and I'm not much much of a car enthusiast. I just need something safe, comfortable and reliable for my family. Also, how much should I pay in down and how much I take loan? Currently making 3.2lpm in hand

I'm thinking 17-18l as the higher end for the budget for something like Kushaq 1.0 TC/duster DCT. Let me know what you guys think.

And yes, I'm pathetic at personal finance, hence the need for suggestion!

Edit: I'm not a new driver, but I'd be first time owner. Been driving my father's car for over a decade now.
