Hardest part wasn't deciding to get help, it was admitting i needed it

A friend asked me last weekend why i've seemed overwhelmed of late and I immediately brushed it off. On way home I realized I had spent months convincing myself I was just being dramatic when, if someone described the same situation to me, i'd probably tell them to find support. I know therapy isn't the answer to everything, but why is it so much easier to encourage other people than ourselves? Has anyone caught themselves doing this?

Well, this is embarrassing... I am housesitting for my MIL and I have managed to clog the toilet. No brute amount of force is getting past this block. Any recommendations for emergency plumbers in anaheim or around the area? Need them now. Shes coming home tomorrow. There are ads everywhere for Roto Rooter but i figured to come to reddit for the real story,
