Does anyone know of any hackathons coming up during the summer months? Both in and out of the university? Maybe someone's aware of other upcoming tech events or meetups?
In October of last year I applied early admissions to the U of S. I didn't really know what I wanted to do with my life, so I just picked Engineering since I figured it might be interesting. But now that I've had much more time to think about my future plans I realize that I've made a mistake, and that I'd rather major in physics and minor in computer science instead. I haven't chosen any university classes yet, and school hasn't started yet, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to switch my choice of major. How would I go about to that? Or is it too late, and I just drop the issue and choose something like Engineering Physics when it comes time to choose my engineering specialization?
I've spent the past few weeks building a satellite visualizer in C++ and OpenGL, and it's reached a point where I'd call it feature complete. OpenGL is still fairly new to me, so I'd really appreciate feedback on my rendering code. General thoughts on architecture and code structure are welcome too.
