i already took eng 114 in the fall and now i’m trying to take eng 113 in the summer but it’s saying that you have already received credit for this course or its equivalent

idk what i’m supposed to do or why it’s saying that because both of these courses are listed as prerequisites for pharmacy, which is what i’m taking them for

Soc 232?

Is anyone else taking Soc 232 with Bryce this Summer?

I’m genuinely disgusted at the amount of textbook readings we have. 2 full thick chapters of pages to be done every 4 days for 8 continuous weeks. It’s not even like the chapters are short, they’re long and thick so it takes forever to get through any of them.

I’ve taken many condensed classes but this is in a league of its own - anyone else feeling the same way?

Prerequisites while under academic warning (College of Engineering)

So I messed up real bad last year and ended up on Academic Warning in the College of Engineering. I'm retaking one of my classes in the 2027 Winter Semester (I got a 54 on it) and I'm looking to take a class in the 2026 Fall Semester that requires it as a prereq. Does anyone know if it still counts as a prereq even if I have to retake it? I did technically pass the class.

Academic Advisors?

Heyo! I was just wondering if the Advisors are just hella busy or? 🥲 I need to talk to one in the next few days because my classes are stuck on an issue on the registration page (which is not allowing me to sign up for student loans for autumn) but all advisors are unavailable for pretty much the entirety of July. Is there another way or??

ANSC355 ANSC320

Has anyone taken either of these courses? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I haven’t been able to find much information about ANSC 355—no syllabus, and pretty much nothing online.

I did find the syllabus for ANSC 320, and it says the exams are online. Does that make the course relatively easy?

If you’ve taken either course, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts. Thanks so much!

Nursing Prep Schedule

Hi! I'm Jaime, my family and I are newcomers from the Philippines, and I just got admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences Nursing Prep.

I wanted to ask for feedback on my planned schedule for the fall sem and any other tips you may have before I start my new journey at USask. I wanted to join an LC, but it seems to be closed and full. I was also planning on taking BIOL 120.3 and NURS 120.3. Unfortunately, they are all full, as are many other classes. As shown in the picture, I am waitlisted for 3 out of 5 classes.

I'd appreciate any insights or thoughts on this, and I'm also open to finding people with similar schedules to make friends with. Thank you!

Can you move in earlier than residence move in on August 31st?

Im from out of province, and my family has obligations at home also on the 31st we cannot work around.

Is it worth emailing residence to ask if we are allowed to move in even on the 30th that way my family can at least help move me in and drive back the same day to make it back home for the next day? The problem is it is a Sunday, but we have literally no other choice other than to move in early without missing a significant thing back at home.

Edwards student trying to register for Comm 203

Hi everyone,
I’m a ESB student who wasn’t able to resister for Comm 203 on registration date due to issues with pre-reqs. After the issue was resolved, the classes (all 4 sections) were full.

Will the reserved sets open on July 3 at 9am and will I be able to register for this class? Or is there a different date for ESB classes reserved seats opening up to everyone?

I really need this class in the fall to be able to declare my major in the winter.

Any help or feedback appreciated. Thank you.

Hey guys. I wanted to ask the people who did today’s online class, do you guys know if it’ll be uploaded online later? I’m at work till 5 and had to sadly miss it. I just want to know if future classes will be uploaded later, because if not, I’m gonna have to schedule work accordingly.

Thanks a lot!

Parking at U of S

My wife has a condensed course at U of S this upcoming summer. It is in a Social Work major so as far as we know, the class should take place in one of 2 Social Work buildings on campus?

The question is related to parking, how available are on campus spots during August? What is the cost to park there all day (8:00-5:00). What lot/s to look for?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Laptop Recommendations?

Good day guys,

I am a recent high school graduate getting ready for Engineering in the fall at Usask. I'm just stuck on what laptop I should get. A friend in Civil Engineering told me about the HP Omnibook 2 in 1 laptop. Honestly the laptop looked appealing to me because it had a stylus pen. One thing about me is that I am also a creative, which means I tend to use softwares like Blender and Davinci Resolve. I figured out that if I used baseline models, the laptop wouldn't last throughout my degree. So if I should get a 2 in 1 laptop, what specs do you recommend?

First-year moving into VP, advice?

Hey y’all, I’m a first-year student coming from AB for a Bachelor of Animal Bioscience (so niche I know), and I’m looking for some honest advice about living in Voyageur Place (Athabasca) and at USask in general.

Most of my worries come from the mixed reviews VP gets, and the fact I know no one from Sask... I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

USask Pharmacy Class of 2030 – WhatsApp Group

Hey everyone!

I was recently accepted into the University of Saskatchewan Pharmacy program (Class of 2030) and was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining a WhatsApp group chat.

It'd be a great place to:

Meet classmates before classes start

Ask questions about registration and orientation

Share resources and updates

Help each other throughout the program

If there's already a group, I'd really appreciate it if someone could add me. If not, comment below or send me a DM and I'll create one!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!
