companions and planetary activities

Was doing the Tatooine war story last night w/ my newest SA w/ Ashara in tow, and noticed she wasn't responding to any of the good/light side dialogue options.

Do companions ever do that, respond to dialogue on planets that come before the time you met them?

gearing issue

Might have asked before, but can't find it it so asking again:
Where can I get gear upgrades for a lv 65 character? Tried soloing a Veteran Flashpoint, the advice I believe I got last time and got killed by 1st boss (didn't know they were lv 80, nor that the bot that would usually tank for me wouldn't be there...)

So, some method that a lvl 65 character can solo would be helpful...

Looking for an online D&D [5e] group...

Looking for a dnd group (players & DM) to play with, preferably in the US, for timing reasons.

Would prefer D&D Beyond or Roll20

Name: Masao Age: 49

System: dnd 5e

Time Zone: Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), UTC -7

Availability: Free most of Mon, Tues, Fri, & Sat.

Experience: Hardly any, like a half-session, decades ago. But have watched many livestreams & D&D-related videos over the last couple years, so I'd like to think myself at least versed in the rules of 5e.

I'd like a healthy amount of combat mixed in with my roleplaying. It might take me a bit to really catch my stride with RP. I'd really appreciate someone considering me for a game. Thank you.
