Try before you apply

I signed up for an email list to get access to patient education materials to give to a patient and it made me enter a phone number and email. The handout was not as advertised, It turned out to be a promo for a program, not patient education. I then started getting annoying text messages promoting the program. I previously thought it was a pretty reputable company and thought it would be a cool place to work someday. But now I am not comfortable with the pushy and misleading marketing tactics. Yeah it may be standard but I had higher hopes for this company. I don’t think they need this pushy marketing

I think it’s a good idea to try out the patient experience if you can to see if you’re comfortable with the company before applying, especially to these Telehealth companies.

PS is this showing up as an Ask Mee any thing. (Writing that way so it doesn’t default to it) Reddit seems to have been defaulting for all my posts lately in any Reddit.

Unsolicited AMA lives from subreddits I’m not in

I’ve been getting multiple invites to AMA lives (specifically Hoka). I posted a question about it in a different sub and some people are saying it showed up as an AMA live there. What is going on? It didn’t give me the option as AMA live. And I didn’t see it on my post, just someone’s screenshot of my post.

I’m not against AMA lives, but the other sub got sidetracked on that. But why am I getting notifications multiple times to Hoka AMA lives that I am not a member of?! Wondering if this type of thing is happening to anyone else or if there’s some glitch in AMA live since my post showed up as one and who knows, maybe this will too.

Edit: I’m being told this shows up as an AMA live just because I had AMA in the subject. That is really annoying Reddit. I did not select it. This looks like a regular post on my end. AMA has multiple meanings, not just Ask Me Anything.

American Medical Association

Against Medical advice. Etc.

glitch with AMAs

does anyone know how I can make this not an AMA after having already hit post? Just trying to do regular post
