Cooper graase

So when I assembled my exhaust, I used a small amount of copper grease to hold the exhaust gaskets in place inside the front pipe. I’ve since heard that this is a big no-no.

Do I need to buy new gaskets, take everything apart, clean it all off, and then reassemble it using something else? Or is it likely to be fine now that everything is already installed and tightened up?

Mt09 vs Superduke

Did you ever consider switching your mt09 for a 1290 Superduke R? I have an mt09 gen 2 and love the hoonigan feeling. So I’ve been looking at the ktm a few times now!

Anyone here who made the switch or have the same considerations?

Roadsitalia Thunder titanium

Hey guys,
I’m looking into buying the Roadsitalia Thunder Titanium Black (285mm) for my 2019 Gen 2 MT-09.
I recently got fined for a 101 dB exhaust setup, so I absolutely need to stay below 98 dB to be safe with the law here.

Because of this, I am planning to buy it WITH the catalyst and keep the standard DB-killer installed.

I contacted Roadsitalia, and they confirmed that their catalyst is a 200 CPSI High-Flow unit. After installing it, I am planning to get the bike professionally dyno-tuned and ECU-flashed by a well-known local tuner.

My questions for anyone running this exact setup (Roadsitalia + Cat + DB killer + Flash):

  1. The Sound: How loud is it realistically with both the cat and standard DB-killer? Does it hit that "sweet spot" below 98 dB, or is it still obnoxiously loud? How is the tone (deep bass vs. high pitch)?

  2. Performance/Flow: Did your tuner experience any issues with the catalyst restricting flow too much, or did the 200 CPSI high-flow design deliver good mid-range torque and power after the flash?

  3. Build Quality: How is the exhaust holding up over time? Any issues with the carbon end-cap, brackets, or welds?

Would love to hear your real-world experiences before I pull the trigger!

Thanks in advance!
