New Pen and Ink Day!
A friend just came back from a trip in Toyko, and they were able to get us the Rainy Day set from Ancora. Love the details of the Lecoule pen (MF steel nib) and converter!

TL;DR - Pilot 823 in Fine, great pen at a great price!
I’ve been eyeing the Pilot Custom 823 for what feels like an eternity.
I actually had a few opportunities to pick it up during past trips to Japan and Singapore, but every single time, other limited edition or collaboration pens “somehow” got in the way. I kept putting off the 823, but it never left my wishlist.
Fast forward to this past weekend, and I finally managed to snag one for a great price! Pilot Philippines was a sponsor at a local pen show, and they had a deal that was simply too good to pass up (approximately 30% off from the retail price). The clear demonstrator was my first choice, even though my wife suggested I get the Amber, but it was sold out by the time we arrived at the event.
It has the perfect amount of heft without feeling fatiguing, and it sits so comfortably in the hand. "Smoothness is smooth" is the only way to describe it when writing with it.
My question: The pen came as the gift set box, which includes a the 70mL bottle of Pilot Black ink. I’m just curious what everyone else did with theirs? (DeAtramentis Document Black and Platinum Carbon Black have been my go-to black inks lately, so I’m trying to decide what to do with this giant bottle of Pilot Black).
Please exercise due diligence regardless of where or from whom you purchase your timepieces.
