You are not alone.
The things that happened to you should never have happened. The pain, fear, confusion, and scars you carry are real. Some of you may blame yourselves, wonder if you could have done something differently, or feel like what happened somehow defines you. It doesn’t.
You matter.
Your worth was never determined by what someone else did to you. The actions of those who hurt you do not decide your value, your future, or who you are as a person.
If you’re feeling broken, lost, or like you’re not enough, keep going. Dry your tears. Lift your head. Look forward. The fact that you’re still here is proof of your strength. Every day you’ve survived is a chapter in a story that isn’t finished yet.
Your beginning does not determine your ending.
The painful parts of your story are real, but they are not the whole story. What matters now is who you choose to become, what peace you choose to pursue, and how you continue moving forward. Healing takes time. Some people find healing through forgiveness. Others find it through setting boundaries and protecting their peace. Whatever your path looks like, your pain is valid.
I’ve been through dark times too. I’ve felt trapped in depression, lost in a hole that seemed impossible to climb out of. Life can be incredibly hard. But I learned that even when life knocks you down, there is still hope ahead. There is still a reason to keep moving.
For me, helping others brought light back into my life. Maybe your purpose will be different. Maybe it’s your family, your friends, your dreams, your faith, your passions, or simply becoming the person you needed when you were hurting.
Whatever it is, hold on to it.
You are stronger than you realize. You are worthy of love, respect, and happiness. Your voice matters. Your story matters. And most importantly, you matter.
I’m praying for every one of you. And if you’re not religious, know that someone out there still cares and hopes for your healing, your peace, and your future.
Keep going.
The world is better with you in it.
