Downloads not working

I have a paid subscription so am able (in theory at least) to download songs to play offline. I have managed with some, but on many occasions including right now anything I try and download doesn't work. I go to download it and it appears in the download queue but then just sits there. The circle around the arrow that shows the download progress stays completely blank, showing it's not downloading. I've tried closing and opening the app, but it just seems sometimes it works and most times it doesn't. Does anyone else have this problem?

Little Bird

As it is July and sunny naturally I am listening to this one a lot. The whole of Seventh Tree is magical in the sunshine too of course!

Top 100 songs countdown

Just a little PSA if anyone's interested, Instagram account magpies.have.come is doing a top 100 Tori songs countdown which people voted on recently (including me). I'm not behind it I just thought I'd share here as I imagine some may be curious to see how that list ends up looking like. We're only at #98 at the moment so many more still to be announced!

Josephine

For me this has to be Josephine! I know it's not really short, but I just love it so much and each time I listen (no matter how many times I already have) I'm always slightly surprised and saddened when it ends sooner than I thought/hoped it would. Does anyone else have this with another song of hers?

Ride A White Horse - Live in London

I just really needed to make a post celebrating this specific live version of the song, from their three-track EP of the same name, with this track being 7 minutes in length. It's absolutely phenomenal, especially from 4:56, the way she holds those notes! 😩🤯 From 4:56 to the end of the song has to be the most euphoric and delightful Goldfrapp I have ever heard. If I had actually been there to witness it I would have self combusted.

Big Black Cloud, Little White Lie appreciation post

Alison using it as the audio for her latest post prompted me to listen to the song again in full for the first time in a while, and it's suddenly amazing to me. I definitely get some Felt Mountain vibes from it mixed with Seventh Tree, if it leaned more into its darker aspects. So atmospheric and her whispery vocals are perfect for its ethereal and slightly creepy vibe.
