Is this $150 Yonex VCORE Pro 97L a good move for a 3.25 player?

Looking for some advice on a potential gear switch. Right now I’m playing with my dad’s old Head YouTek IG Radical S from 2012 (100sq in, 280g). It’s been okay to learn on, but I feel like I'm outgrowing it and want something of my own.
I found a deal for a brand new 2021 Yonex VCORE Pro 97L for $150. It seems like a great price for a Yonex, but I’m a bit worried since it’s a 97sq in head and a thinner beam.
I’m currently around a 3.25 NTRP. Is the jump from a 100 to a 97 too ambitious at my level? I don't want to buy a "pro" racket and then realize I can't hit the sweet spot to save my life.
Also, my dad’s racket is a Grip 2 (4 1/4) and it honestly feels a bit tiny in my hand. If I pull the trigger on the Yonex, should I just go ahead and move up to a Grip 3 (4 3/8)?
Would love to hear if this is a solid upgrade or if I’m just getting distracted by a good price tag.
