Any tips to engage a 5th point of contact?

My mate likes to free solo in his undies and usually near the top he tells us he’s using a fifth point of contact just give his arms a rest? Any idea on what he’s on about?

Do you think this is fixable?

Has anyone had a similar experience with breaking their phone like this and getting it fixed? It still works fine but cellular, wifi and Bluetooth don’t work. It is an iPhone 12.
