PC Build Fail. 7800 X3D, Rog Strix b650 A Gaming wifi, TeamGroup Tforce Delta 6000mhz cl30 RAM

Hello,

I handed this parts combination to Canada computers and the results have come back negative

As per an email : Just reaching out as I was unable to contact you by phone. Looks like your Memory isn't on the MBASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi  QVL -> Qualified Vendor List. System is running into errors with our tester software. Installed your provided parts into Mainboard that is on the QVL for ram you provided; system still runs into errors.

The CPU 7800X3d ordered from aliExpress internal memory controller is failing as it can't handle ram speeds, giving errors on core 7 and 15 as per attached picture/screenshot, so system is not STABLE. Cpu is defective.

However, as we discussed over the phone, with our Mainboard MBMSI00508 249.99 MSI PRO B850-P WIFI + CPAMD00158 519.99 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, passes our stress test without any issues or errors with TM5.

Please try to return the CPU to aliexpress, and Mainboard back to Amazon.

Thanks

Now I did chose to go the AliEx route after careful deliberation and diligent shopping and saved lots of money. Many people have voucher for them and their retailers. I seem to be one of the only people I can find leaving the particular vendor a bad review

Also, seems like the consensus on QVL is it isnt as important as it used to be but CC seems to be playing off my ignorance, and seem strict with the recommendation

Furthermore CC claims it used one of its own 7800X3D for the same test and it worked fine. I think they test each part separately on a testbed so im unsure if the Ali 7800X3D failed on my board/mem combo or on their bed.

Im seeking advice here cuz im not exactly excited about spending another $300 on what has been a $1500 upgrade so far. AI has suggested the CPU isnt objectively fault because it failed this test and suggested that :

The board is likely the problem, not the CPU.The ROG Strix B650-A is a mid-range B650 board with a relatively conservative memory trace layout

B650 (not B650E) has fewer PCIe lanes and generally weaker memory subsystem than X670E or even B850

If TeamGroup's own compatibility page doesn't list DDR5-6000 for that board, that's meaningful — it's the RAM maker saying "we didn't validate this"

TestMem5 v0.12 context:

TM5 is an extremely aggressive memory tester — it will fail kits that are borderline stable at a given speed/voltage

Errors on TM5 at 6000 on a board with weak 6000 support ≠ defective CPU IMC

It's essentially stress-testing the weakest link, which here is likely the board's ability to train DDR5-6000

What I'd recommend telling the tech:

Test the CPU at JEDEC (DDR5-4800) on that same board with your kit

If TM5 passes at JEDEC, the CPU IMC is fine — the issue is the board/speed combo

The CPU should ideally be tested on a board that actually supports DDR5-6000 per the QVL

The B650-A is not the right board to validate your build. The tech is drawing conclusions from an incompatible test environment.

I have a screenshot of CC test results ill try to attach it somehow

Any sagely advice Id greatly appreciate

Sincerely,

Ed

EDIT i cant seem to attach anything from my phone so ill add that Core 7 and 15 specifically returned errors Under TESTMEM5 V 0.12
