My mother just got her AC compressor and power steering pump changed. After getting both changed, there’s a chirp when the truck is put under load/accelerating that stops when you turn the AC on. She also now has a whine when turning the wheel, but no struggle to turn. She’s pretty frustrated and is going to get it taken back, but wants advice. Truck is a 92 Ford F150
Car is a 97 Chevrolet Camaro V6 automatic with 170000 miles.
Just recently (within the last month) got new ignition cables, spark plugs, alternator (idk if that makes a difference) and a new ignition coil. Car is running fine and isn’t misfiring anymore after all of the previous were replaced, however on my drive home the service engine light popped up. Took it to autozone and had it diagnosed as a spark plug, however I know the diagnostic machines at autozone, advanced, etc don’t really give a specific diagnosis, just a “it could be this” diagnosis.
I was wondering if anyone had helpful advice on what this could possibly be? I’ve also noticed a bit of an overwhelming smell of gas when I start the car now. Definitely going to get it checked out by my mechanic as soon as I’m able. Thanks!
