Executive Master of Public Administration

From Mongolia working in climate finance and carbon markets on a climate project. Around 10 years of experience. I feel that I have reached a point where opportunities for further growth within my current environment are becoming more limited. I did my bachelors at a local university (reputable locally but do not carry recognition internationally). My goal is stronger credibility in climate policy and carbon market regulation.

I cannot realistically do a full time degree so I’m considering the Sciences Po EMPA. https://www.sciencespo.fr/executive-education/en/programmes-for-individuals/executive-masters/executive-master-of-public-administration/

I do have the budget for tuition and living costs, so finances are not the main issue. I also only have beginner French.

I’m not expecting a dramatic career shift. More interested in long term positioning, network and credibility.

For people familiar with Sciences Po or France:

  1. Is Executive MPA actually respected in France or viewed more as a pay to play executive program?
  2. How is it perceived by French employers?
  3. For someone already mid career, would you consider it worth the investment?
  4. Does it create meaningful opportunities afterward?

Brutal honesty appreciated.
