I saw a post on another subreddit asking for advice to be happy.

Here are the 30 things I follow, you can comment the advice that is new to you, or something you don’t agree with.

Also type the thing that you follow that has added value to your life

  1. Stay clear of debt
  2. Don’t be stressed over things you don’t have control over
  3. Don’t be bothered about what others think of you
  4. Don’t compare yourself with others, we all have different starting points
  5. Follow stoicism
  6. Always have insurance, emergency fund (5 mons living expense), invest 20% of your salary in stable funds like nifty 50
  7. Learn a new language
  8. Travel
  9. Wait 7 days before you purchase anything that is not absolutely necessary
  10. Spend time with your parents while you can
  11. Know that it’s better to do something than to regret not doing it.
  12. Surround yourself with optimistic people
  13. Drink a lot of water, Don’t eat after 7pm
  14. Try to hit the gym atleast 3 times per week
  15. Don’t buy a house too early
  16. Don’t choose your partner out of desperation
  17. Always do the difficult things first
  18. Don’t compromise sleep for anything
  19. Get comfortable with the way you look
  20. Learn to appreciate the things you have
  21. It’s okay to take a break. Only slaves measure their days in the wages they earned.
  22. Smile at others even though you don’t know them
  23. When you are with three, speak to all three
  24. Know how to eat
  25. Never lower someone to raise yourself in someone else’s eyes
  26. Smell like you knew you would be remembered
  27. Be groomed
  28. Fall in love with the journey
  29. Confidence is knowing your worth, Cockiness is needing others to know it. Be confident, not cocky
  30. Cut back on sugar

DAE notice the content you see on internet (not just algorithms, even tweets) is persuading you to get married and have more children?

Is this another case of wolves being worried about there being not enough sheep? All the recent uploads are mostly encouraging having more children. For example: Elon’s tweet on India’s replacement rate being below average

Edit: I wish we had never progressed, we could’ve just been the cavemen who slept twice a day, worked 16h/week on average for food, socialized for 6 hours/day.

They never wanted to work their ass off so that they can afford a BMW or their children can get a fancy education.

People with money say that they are working to ease the lives. In fact, They are making it harder. Atleast for the others.
