[RevShare] Looking for experience UE Dev Lead and Concept Artists (Character/Environmental)

Our studio is expanding! We are Rustling Leaves Games!

Our game Project Vertex is a Narrative Adventure game developed in UE, using 3D assets, and dappled with MoCap.

Project Vertex takes place in the 1990s, in a small transient town where families from all over the world come together with one shared hope: to build a better life for themselves and their children. But this story isn’t about the hardships those families endured. Instead, it’s about their children, the quiet adventures happening between apartment buildings, the secret worlds built in backyards, and the memories that slowly fade as adulthood takes over.

The game is inspired by the real-life experiences of children growing up during that time, where imagination turns ordinary places into entire universes, and the smallest moments become lifelong memories. In Project Vertex, players are rewarded for asking “why.” For exploring. For lingering. For seeing magic in what others overlook.

Opportunity Information:

We’re looking for a UE Dev Lead with extensive Unreal Engine experience, someone who can help architect and connect our gameplay systems while guiding our dev team through development and implementation.

We're also actively looking for Concept Artists who are interested in both Character and Environmental Concept Art.

Compensation:

This is a volunteer role, so there’s no upfront pay or guaranteed future compensation. That said, we are actively exploring a revenue-sharing model once Project Vertex is launched and published.

All contributors will be fully credited for their work, and you’re absolutely welcome to showcase your contributions in your portfolio (within reason). The only limitation is that project assets and the final product can’t be sold or redistributed independently.

How long do you actually spend customizing characters?

How much time do you spend in the "Character Creator" for an RPG before actually starting the game? (Minutes or hours? We won't judge!) 🎨🎭
