Thoughts on short 12 shark boy summer short or song?

(Sorry for the poor image quality.) I want to say this song or short, you could call it was unique, yet disappointing. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to feel more like a music video, and the plot twist with Chaz still being dead near Crimson was interesting, and all. But even with that, the short still felt like a letdown to me.

I think it could’ve been way more interesting if we got to see more of Verosika Mayday instead. A short centered around her could’ve explored her character more deeply, especially since we usually only see her connected to Blitzo like in Spring Broken, Ozzie’s, the Apology Tour, and other appearances. It would’ve been nice to finally see a side of her without him involved.

Especially with the first teaser, which clearly looked like her or at least very similar plus the other teaser with the Verosika cosplay. Since it’s also May, the “Mayday” wordplay could’ve worked really well too.

And honestly, Chaz is starting to get annoying for me. At first, his own short was funny and interesting, but using him again here just didn’t land. I think Chaz is fine as a character overall, but he kind of ruined this short for me.

Those are just my thoughts. What do you think?

Before I get into my main thoughts, I want to point out that Lilith is one of the most mysterious characters in the series on the same level as Roo or Alastor before his full reveal. Because of that, her role in Season 3 and beyond could go in a few different directions.

Realistically, I see two main ways the show could portray her. The first is as a villain—someone who directly opposes Charlie’s beliefs. After all, she left Charlie alone for seven years. That raises questions about her motives and whether she truly believes sinners deserve redemption. There’s even a possibility (though I could be wrong) that she had some involvement in things like the rebellion posters from the pilot. If this direction is taken, I could see her eventually being forced to confront Charlie’s ideology maybe through conflict with Alastor or another major turning point and slowly realizing that Charlie might be right in some way.

The second possibility is that she’s more of a “good but conflicted” character. In this version, she cares about Lucifer and Charlie but isn’t fully convinced by Charlie’s goals, similar to how Lucifer initially doubted her in season 1 episode 5&6. Over time, something would shift her perspective, leading her to understand or even support the hotel’s purpose. There are many ways this change could happen, depending on what the writers

choose to reveal about her past.

Ultimately, I want her character should feel earned. Whether she ends up being good or a villain, it should come from a clear and meaningful reason not just for the sake of the plot. What matters most to me is that she genuinely cares about her family, or at least comes to realize that family matters more

than power.

There are also a lot of important questions surrounding her that I hope the series answers: Why is she in Heaven? Did she make a deal with Adam? Why did she leave seven years ago and why does that timeline seem to connect with Alastor? What really happened between her and Lucifer? And why did she abandon her family?

No matter which direction they take, I hope Lilith is portrayed as a complex character, either someone who opposes Charlie’s vision of redemption or someone who struggles to believe in it, but with understandable motivations behind her actions.
