A friend rented a car from hertz and paid for it with their Chase Card. They declined the rental company's CDW because they believed the Chase card's auto rental coverage would apply.

A day or two into the rental, the renter became ill and asked me to drive. I'm not listed on the rental agreement. While I was driving through an intersection, another vehicle hit the rental on the front passenger side and fled the scene

What should I do will Chase cover the damage?

I got hit and run in shields and plum on Sat May 16 1.15 AM.

I got hit by a hackback / sedan dark color. If anybody has dashcam around that time it would be really useful
