Hello everyone. I am contemplating a PD job in MA through CPCS in Boston. Does anyone have insight on:
Thanks!
For context, I am a 27 year old woman, overweight, but working on it with a GLP1. Have lost 20 lbs since May, exercise regularly and eat a generally high protein diet, good sleep, and practice self care to monitor stress.
Went to PCP about 3 weeks ago (who is a NP) and had a reading of 133/85. OK she tells me to monitor it at home and take BP first thing in morning after peeing.
My readings for a week are as follows:
She advises to cut salt, exercise, eat right, the usual advice, and to keep monitoring. She suggests if things are still high to go on low dose BP medication.
Today, I met with my obesity doctor and told her what my PCP and gave her my numbers. She advised that my PCP is wrong, my BP is fine and that the new standard is that anything under 140 is fine. Google says it's not. IDK what to believe.
Hello everyone. I am on 1mg after about 4 months of use. Minimal side effects and eating is decently suppressed. I started at 250lbs and am at 231-233lbs now. My weight fluctuates, but I have plateaued at around this amount. I lost a good bulk of weight on the 0.5mg, which I started in June and was on until end of July. I eat a pretty high protein diet and smaller portions. I have seen some visual progress in my love handles and maybe my face, but have not been able to lose much weight in about 2 mos. I strength train 2x a week and run 1-2x a week also, get decent sleep, and drink lots of water.
I am not sure if it's possible or fair to suppose that I am gaining muscle and that's why the scales not going down? Would appreciate any insight anyone else has on this. I am still very overweight lol.
Hello everyone. I am a 27 year old woman who was advised to monitor my BP. My reading at the doctors was 136/86 and a couple weeks prior was somewhere around 132/80. I understand the usual advice is to exercise, eat well sleep well, etc. For over a year, I have exercised regularly, normally doing 3-4 days a week including strength training and cardio (walking and running). I am presently on a GLP1 also and have been having good weight loss results on it. Due to my active lifestyle and it being summer, I was drinking a lot of electrolytes but will stop given the extremely high sodium content. My diet consists of high-protein meals (i.e. cottage cheese, grilled chicken, eggs, etc.) and a decent serving of fruits and vegetables (i.e. kale salad, spinach, frozen fruit in daily protein smoothie). I am not dealing with any stressors at work and in my life that I feel would affect this at the moment (I was a couple months before, though...)
I stopped seasoning my food for the most part, cut out salty snacks (my absolute weakness and probably why this is happening lol), cut out eletrolytes, and will be switching to low sodium cold cuts.
I guess my question is if anyone has any insight or advice on how to avoid sneaky sodium foods or if there are any foods that have lowered your BP? Given that I already exercise regularly, sleep well and do not have significant work/life stress and have this result, I'm not sure what else to do in terms of lifestyle tbh. Any insight is appreciated!
Is there an online application? I only see the one for the superior court division.
Hello everyone. I've lost about 10lbs but some days I go up like 3lbs at the end. I was looking for advice and whether this was normal in your experiences. I'm on 0.5 and don't feel the hunger suppression as much about a month in, but I am still able to control myself. I feel good, side effects are minimal really. Not sure if I should go up, or give it time. I work out, get good protein and stay hydrated.
hello, we are hoping to hike Mt. Willard this Saturday. I saw a post about Franconia Notch being snowy, not sure if we should expect the same for Willard. Any insight would be appreciated!
