last “fall” set before my halloween nails!! i love how these turned out 🥹

i haven’t gotten my nails done in a few months bc my favorite tech left the salon i frequented. my mom was in town & wanted hers done so she offered to take my sister & i along with her. i found a salon that said they specialize in gel x, looked at their socials to make sure i liked their work (im almost positive at this point that the art is stolen from pinterest/other nail techs), & then we all decided to go to that one.

nail art is one thing, they’re humans having to free hand it & i know that it won’t be perfect. however, my nails are all different shapes & sizes. one hand is significantly longer than the other, my thumb is crooked, & the shaping just looks off?

am i being dramatic or should i go to a different salon to have them removed & redone.

original jewelry: 20g bullet back earrings from claire’s. new jewelry: 18g 6mm titanium threadless flatbacks (Invictus brand bought from piercing shop)
cleaning products used: Recovery Purified Saline Spray

so a little over a month ago i decided on a whim to get my seconds done at claire’s (very stupid i know). a week later i went to an actual piercing shop to get my helix done & the piercer noticed that my seconds were a little swollen/irritated so she offered to replace them with titanium implant grade jewelry. it hadn’t been bothering me at all up until this past week. i noticed it was a bit tender & was swollen compared to my right ear (which isn’t bothering me at all). last night after i sprayed them with the saline solution, i was using a cotton pad to dry off the excess & noticed there was a bit of blood on it. it’s not warm to the touch but it is oozing a clear liquid & it’s sore.

i also use a travel pillow since im a side sleeper & since the helix is fresh on the same ear i have been EXTREMELY careful when it comes to sleeping or putting on shirts/hoodies so i don’t snag it.

i really want to keep this piercing & have been trying so hard to take care of it.

any tips or advise is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance! :)
