Laptop or ipad?

I am going into year 12 this September and I need help deciding if I should get a laptop or an ipad. I'm doing biology, maths and sociology. Laptops are much cheaper than ipads so I would be able to get it sooner than the ipad but I feel like the ipad would be able to help me do past papers and take notes more easier.

Thanks for any help provided

Need help with autistic brother

My brother recently turned 14. I'm pretty sure he's autistic but mom refuses this fact even when he was young the doctor told her he was autistic, and we are having some problems with hus character. He seems to be very anti-social as he doesn't want to have any friends nor go outside so he stays at home most of the time unless he goes to school. At school he wears ears muffs to protects his ears as before he would cry in class because of the noise in the class, people bully him but he doesn't seem to care or maybe he does but he has lost trust of our mom as she lied to us while we moved from Spain to the UK. Infact he refuses to even speak English at home and is always speaking spanish or watching spanish videos which affects his development with English. He also has a spitting problem which makes him not able to swallow saliva and we cant find what is causing that.

Recently he has this problem where he doesn't like being told what to do, like yesterday I told him to take his shoes off as he was making the floor dirty and he kept trying to convince me the shoes was clean because he used the carpet to clean them. He was very stubborn and when he finally took them out he went to his room to cry. He's always asking questions like "why do I need a haircut" or like he refuses to change his shirt which is dirty and old when we need to go outside and says "why do people care" or trousers when they're too small. Right now I had to teach him how to clean a kitchen towel as he was cleaning it with a sponge instead of scrubing it and he got very angry as apparently to him is okay to do it like that. He gets very angry or confused when people try to correct as for him everything he does is okay.

Please I really need help as I don't want his future to be affected with this like that and he seems to have a problem with everything. I also need a way to convince my mom to take him to a diagnosis. Thank you.

Universities

[y11 going into y12] Recently I've made up my mind and decided I would like to be a paediatric nurse, however I noticed most of the top universities don't offer courses for nursing. I'm still kinda indecisive if I should choose chemistry to keep my options open if I change my mind or choose to be a paediatrician instead.

So I was wondering does the choose of university matter if its not one of the top russell universities. And, also any opinions with KCL? As I still haven't started Year 12 I'm not very informed with this topic and don't want the subjects I chose to make it harder after.

I would appreciate any response

help choosing sixth form as gcse results day approaches 😓

I've applied for 3 sixth forms but I'm only interested on 2 of them

1st sixth form -

  • I attended sixth form there so it would make me an internal = I know the environment and know some friends going there
  • 5 minutes away from my house
  • only 100 students in year 12
  • picked criminology, biology and maths
  • considered a good sixth form

2nd sixth form -

  • 1 hour and 35 minutes away (have to take 2 different buses)
  • don't know anyone there or anyone who is going there which will make it harder to make friends as an introvert
  • very good school reputation and great sixth form apparently and need grave 7 in 5 or more subjects as well as a grade above 7 in the subjects ive chosen: sociology biology maths and history (but i believe it will be very tiring)
  • 175 students in year 12
  • compulsory games afternoon
  • a lot of different events

thank you for reading and anyone's opinions are welcomed
