Looking for a challenging FPGA / AI / VLSI project idea for my senior project

I'm currently looking for a topic for my senior/final-year project.

I'm particularly interested in the intersection of: FPGA / RTL design

wanna learn about Neural Network accelerators and Digital IC / VLSI design

I've been working on vhdl language for a while.FPGA-based digital design, and some embedded systems. I'm also interested in learning more about Verilog/SystemVerilog, ASIC design and AI hardware.

If you were an undergraduate student with access to an FPGA board and basic electronics lab equipment, what kind of project would you choose today in this area?

[4th Year ECE] Off-campus guidance for Embedded IoT & Edge AI internships / Fresher roles

Hey folks,

I’m a 4th-year ECE student preparing for off-campus hiring. While most on-campus hiring focuses on Web Dev/DSA, my primary interest and project work lie in Embedded Firmware, IoT, and Edge AI (TinyML).

What I’ve built so far:

Sensors & Firmware: Worked with STM32 and ESP32 using FreeRTOS, building custom firmware utilizing SPI, I2C, and UART protocols.

TinyML Integration: Deployed quantized INT8 machine learning models on microcontrollers using Edge Impulse and TFLite Micro for real-time anomaly detection.

IoT Cloud Integration: Set up end-to-end data pipelines streaming sensor metrics to cloud brokerages via MQTT.

Seeking advice on:

What are some active IoT/EV/Semiconductor startups or companies in India currently hiring freshers for firmware/embedded roles?

What is the most effective cold-outreach strategy to get response rates from hardware engineering managers on LinkedIn?

Appreciate any guidance, referrals, or leads!
