The Burning Moon
I’ve had the idea for this symbol for a long time. Just how perfect is it?
Phew, I need to get my thoughts together, because what’s coming out isn’t right for me.
I’m not sure how to design my own coat of arms in the style of medieval Europe. You know, something like:
- Uniqueness.
- Aesthetics.
England — a crouching lion.
Scotland — a standing lion.
France — a lily.
León and Castile — the literal names ‘Lion’ and ‘Castle’, depicted on the coat of arms.
It seems simple enough, but when it comes down to it, everything starts to fall apart.
What is this style of drawing called (those rounded shapes)?
I haven't had any ideas lately
I’m doing everything by the book, but it just turns out rubbish
The coats of arms of the ‘From the Hands’ and ‘Gold and Coal’ dynasties (I haven’t given them names yet, so that’s what they’re called for now)
I decided to try my hand at drawing the coats of arms of the younger branches of the dynasty

My successful and unsuccessful coats of arms
Some are correct, others are not
I just couldn’t seem to draw either the borders or the flags, and I’d reached a dead end. However, whilst watching the video, I started drawing red lines in my notebook. And then I carried on without stopping, adding the names of those rivers.
