How to get my ₹2 lakhs back from G Square Group.
Need advice on getting my ₹2 lakhs from G Square Group after 6+ months delay
I paid around ₹2 lakhs as a blocking amount for a plot from G Square Group around 8 months ago. Before paying, they clearly told me that this amount was fully refundable if I decided not to proceed.
Initially, I selected a plot based on the original layout/design they showed me. But after around 2 months, they completely changed the project layout and redesign. Because of this, my selected plot was no longer available, and they asked me to choose again from the new layout.
The problem was that they only allowed me to choose from a very limited number of plots in the redesigned layout, claiming most other plots were already booked after the redesign. I did not like any of the options they gave because the whole layout and positioning had changed significantly from what was originally promised.
So I decided not to continue and requested a refund. They acknowledged the refund request and told me they would initiate it.
Now it has been more than 6 months and I still have not received the money back.
Every time I call:
- They say “we’ll call back in 15–20 minutes” and never do
- Or they say “you’ll get it this month”
- Or “it has been moved to the finance team”
But there has been absolutely no proper confirmation, timeline, or written update.
At this point, it feels like they are just delaying continuously.
What legal options do I have to recover the money? Can I file a consumer complaint or RERA complaint for this? Has anyone faced something similar with G Square or any other real estate company?
Would really appreciate guidance on the fastest and most effective way to proceed legally and recover the refund.
