LETSHUOER Astralis Vs AKG 955

Just played around with some EQ and managed to match my LETSHUOER Astralis and AKG EO-IG955 almost perfectly to the same target curve. But even with identical graphs, the Astralis absolutely destroys the AKG in actual sound quality! The insane bass detail and clean top-end come down to the hardware: the Astralis uses a massive 15.5mm planar magnetic driver that has much faster transient response and lower dynamic compression than the AKG's traditional dynamic driver. It really goes to show that a frequency response graph is only half the battle, and raw driver speed makes a massive difference in texture and clarity. These are an absolute hidden gem I haven't seen many people talking about them.

New to the IEM scene

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to the IEM scene.
To start off, I saw some posts about the AKG EO-IG955 tuned to the "PEQdB Diamond Curve." My expectations aren't high, and I feel like it might be a bit of a troll, but for $20 I figured it’s worth a shot.

Anyway, I want to invest in a real pair of IEMs, but I have no clue where to start or what type of frequency response/curve I actually prefer.

My Current Setup & Experience

At home, I listen to music on a pair of Klipsch RP-8000F II speakers paired with an SVS PB-1000 ported sub. I also have a pair of Sony XM5s, but comparing them to my speaker setup is night and day . The Sonys sound muddy, like it's not even the same song. I know IEMs and room speakers aren't directly comparable, but I’m hoping to find an IEM that gives me a similar feeling and scale to my home setup.

What I Listen To

A lot of EDM, deep/tech house, and dubstep. Artists like Beltran, Kettama, and Subtronics,.
I love going to raves with nice sound systems the music sounds so different then listening to headphones.

What I'm Looking For

  • Bass: I love deep, clear, and impactful sub-bass. On my speakers, the bass isn't a boomy mid-bass mess; it's incredibly deep, physical, and clean — it feels like it puts you into a trance.
  • Clarity: I really value attention to detail. I want to be able to hear all the layers and textures in EDM tracks that my XM5s currently muffle.
  • Budget: under $200 preferred but I can be talked into spending more.

My Gear

I already picked up a Moondrop Dawn Pro 2 USB-C DAC/AMP, so I have clean power and the ability to apply some DSP/EQ through the app if I need to tweak things.

Does anyone have advice on IEMs that might fit this vibe, or tips on how to figure out my preferred tuning? Any recommendations are hugely appreciated. Thanks!

What features are still being considered

I love the idea of the Ollee watch but personally I would love more smart watch features.
Are any of these still in development?

Fitbit Air

I’ve been looking at the Fitbit air but I’m extremely concerned with privacy. I’ve been looking into it and information is all over the place. I don’t want Google tracking my location / stealing my data so I’m concerned about using this product. I know there are alternatives like amazefit but the Fitbit air is a lot slimmer design.
If it does steal data would just making an allies with proton to use for the Fitbit be enough?
