Due to the post-war economic impact, business has slowed down significantly, and our company is facing salary deductions and layoffs.
I wanted to know how the situation is in other companies. Are others experiencing the same issues, or is it just us struggling right now?
This article beautifully captures the emotional struggle of expats who feel homesick and stuck between two worlds. It made me feel understood, so I wanted to share it with others who may be going through the same thing.

Hi everyone,
I’m 30 years old from Pakistan and I’m planning to move to the UAE to work in real estate and join a brokerage firm.
I already have 4 years of experience working in real estate in my home country.
Before I make the move, I wanted to ask:
I would really appreciate honest guidance from people already working in the UAE market.
Thank you.
I’m trying to decide between two options and would really appreciate some advice.
Option 1: Move to the UAE and work in real estate. I already have experience in this field from my home country, and being closer to home would make it easier for me to visit 2–3 times a year. I do get homesick sometimes, so this is an important factor for me.
Option 2: Move to Italy for a permanent job. This option offers more long-term stability, and I could potentially get citizenship after a few years.
I’m stuck between career stability and long-term benefits vs. staying closer to home and working in a field I’m already familiar with.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or can share advice on which path might be better?
