Webpage playback

Hey all,

I've got a couple Pro 3 Wire-Free Floodlight cameras. I recently built a new PC and now suddenly the webpage is saying the browser cannot play video files. I mainly use Firefox but the same is happening in edge/ chrome.

What has changed that I cannot play video files? It used to work totally fine until a few days ago.

The cameras are still in warranty and its really stupid if I can't view videos without downloading them so I might just end up returning them to amazon for something else if this persists.

Privacy and adblocking

Hey all,

I've got a plusnet hub 2. I've had it since joining plusnet 5ish years ago. I've not had any issues with it.

I've moved the DHCP server off the router to my raspberry pi which runs a DNS sinkhole. This enables network wide adblocking (unless its built into the stream).

I want to increase my private further by having network wide VPN access. Can I just sign up to a VPN provider and use those credentials in the hub 2 admin pages?

I'm not seeing any VPN/ login config pages - so I might me missing something. I believe I am on the latest firmware which updated earlier this month: v0.11.01.11071-PN

TIA

2021 Peugeot e028 rear view mirror

Hi all,

I purchased a fitvr dashcam adapter (here) which is is connectible to the power of the rain sensor. I'm struggling to remove the housing, and wondering if anyone has experience in doing so?

I've followed this video but I still can't pry it open. Any tips are appreciated. PS I'm not good with fiddly things like this so I might end up taking it to a mechanic but hoping someone might know better than me.

🚲 What do the 2026 local election results mean for cycling in London?

I think this is a pretty decent analysis of the probably changes or lack there of to cycle infra.

Westminster is going to be the worst for obvs reasons. I even found Hamilton terrace residents anti cycle site here. Combined they probably have more money than the council so were always going to do this but the tories are definitely going to axe that route which I take at least daily.

Edit/ Update. Summarised from the transcript

  • The 2026 London elections create a mixed outlook for cycling, with some boroughs accelerating plans and others stalling.
  • Westminster turning Conservative is the biggest setback, likely cancelling major schemes like Bayswater Road.
  • Greens made major gains (Waltham Forest, Hackney, Haringey, Lewisham), often improving prospects for cycle lanes and LTNs.
  • Several boroughs remain stable and pro‑cycling (Camden, Islington, Greenwich, Hounslow), keeping strong pipelines moving.
  • Hung councils (Southwark, Brent, Barnet, Enfield) introduce uncertainty, where coalition politics may slow or block delivery.

Does anyone here know whether Balcony solar can be MCS certified? (Directly cabled to the fuse box

hi all,

Per the title. Does anyone know whether balcony solar can be MCS certified? Specifically if 2-4 panels are wired directly to the fuse box/ consumer unit.

Context:
While I do have a balcony, I will not be hanging panels off it. Instead I have a partition wall between my balcony and the one next to mine, I will install a panel there and a couple on my own external flat walls because both are in the sun all day.
