SSD Stuck At 100% Usage [Windows 11]

SSD Stuck At 100% Usage [Windows 11]

Hey everyone,

I was playing Forza Horizon 5 earlier today, and everything was fine. However, right after I closed the game, my SSD usage jumped to 100% and has stayed there for over 2 hours now.

In Task Manager, the process causing this is simply labeled as "System".

What I've tried so far:

  • Restarted the PC 3-4 times (doesn't help, stays at 100% almost immediately after boot).
  • Disabled common services (SysMain/Superfetch, Connected User Experiences, and Telemetry).
  • Updated all my drivers (including Chipset and Storage controllers).
  • Checked for Windows Updates.

The PC is extremely sluggish and barely usable. Has anyone encountered this specifically after gaming? Is there a way to force the System process to "let go" of the drive, or could this be a deeper file system issue?

Any help would be much appreciated!
