My high notes are almost always in tune, but my low notes aren't???

So, I used to struggle with out-of-tune high notes, and I practiced a lot to make sure my high notes were in-tune and that I could play them quiet. But now I have the opposite problem where I can't play loudly anymore and my middle register is always 10 cents sharp or flat. I'm in high school right now, so I don't have much time to put into improvement aside from 10 minutes on weekdays and an hour on weekends. Any tips?

Getting money for a first year high school chess club?

Hey. I'm a student interested in starting my school's chess club. My school has only been open for 4, almost 5 years. It's currently the summer where I am, but I want to be prepared for running the club as I will be president. I've been doing research, as I want to involve my club in tournaments. However, the tournaments in my area require a USCF membership, which is $24. I will also most likely need to pay for chess boards, learning materials for those who are interested (like chess books), and other related items such as separate tournament fees.

For the most part, the club itself will have a casual atmosphere where you can have fun, but people who want to learn can also learn how to play and win tournaments. I was thinking of club dues of $20, but I am unsure as to whether I will have enough money for tournaments and whether people would want to pay for that. Fundraisers and sponsors seem like a no-brainer, but I have no clue on how to get sponsors for my first year. Does anybody have advice for this?
