Calendar notification management: multiple calendar tips?

I'm going all-in on Dia for my work laptop and using a lot more of the productivity features than I have on personal machines. One thing I really like the spirit of is the calendar notifications: I've been pinning my calendar to my sidebar since Arc workspaces, so enhancing this with pop-ups and previews is really nice.

The problem I'm running into is scoping. I use Google Calendar & follow a bunch of calendars other than my own - my boss, my reports, a few other key folks in the org I meet with regularly - to stay ahead of things that going on outside my immediate view. Dia doesn't seem to draw a line here which means every half-hour or so I'm getting multiple event notifications for everyone else's calendars. 🙈 I finally just disabled notifications entirely.

Before I submit feedback to the team, I want to make sure I'm not missing an obvious easier path. Any chance I'm missing some management options for scoping the calendars that trigger notifications, either in Dia or maybe even in GCal? Anyone got personal workflow tips on how to do this better?

Missed connection with a local pup

EDIT: Roxy went to a new home! Thanks for the support and special thanks to u/in4apennylane for the quick info. Friendly reminder that Brevard has lots of other furry friends available so if you saw this post and thought "What a cutie!", get your butt to the shelter and find your own. 💖

ORIGINAL:

Hey folks, got a real specific question. We've been exploring for a new dog recently. We visited the sheriff's shelter in Melbourne last week and met "Roxy" (pictured above). We made a good connection and wanted to bring our current dog back for a meet before we took her home, but by the time we made it back Roxy was gone.

If you know Roxy was adopted to a new forever home: great! You got a winner and we respect your privacy. Give her an extra scritch from the Miserable family. 😀

However, I know we have a ton of rescue orgs around here who might have scooped her up instead and may be waiting for foster space or special care before listing her as available for adoption elsewhere. If you recognize Roxy as having gone to a rescue/foster/other org, would you mind sending me a DM or connecting me with them please? 🕵‍♂️

We keep coming back around to "We should have taken Roxy home" (lesson learned!) and are very interested in adopting her if she's available from somewhere else. I'm trying to get ahead of a waitlist or expensive rescue resources being spent on her if we can get her first.

Hey folks, got a tricky one to look out for! We had a First American home warranty for the first year at our new home (2022). We canceled befroe the renewal after a bad experience with a repair - no biggie, lesson learned, moving on. I had paid for the warranty using a single-vendor digital card via Privacy, so after we canceled the policy I also closed the digital card.

Today, someone tried to use that card info for a ChicFilA mobile order. 😬 It was declined & I got a notice about it.

As a vendor-locked and single purpose card, FAHW & Privacy.com are the only two places to ever have access to that info - and I have not had any other declined attempts or issues with many other active cards there. Something's fishy. 🕵‍♂️

I've already alerted FAHW, but I'm sharing here because I don't know a better place to ask: has anyone else seen this recently? Did miss a data breach notice lately? If you have or had a FAHW policy, it may be worth watching the payment method associated with it - small mobile transactions are a well-known way of validating card info before making bigger purchases.

Be safe out there, y'all!
