There's a lot of good jobs out there that very, very few people know of and aim to get.

I'm in the trades so I know a lot of good professions.

Engineering in one of the casinos. It's $40/hr. plus another $8/hr. going towards pension. Takes an act of Congress to get fired.

Elevator/escalator technician. It's $75/hr. plus pension

Any plumbing/electrician/pipe fitter

There's a lot of good paying jobs out there, but they can easily be replaced. These jobs are pretty bulletproof. And if you happen to get fired/laid off, you can walk across the street and get another one.

There was a pizza place called Angelina's in East Charleston and Nellis many years ago that was my go-to place for pizza. It's like they used a different type of cheese that gets better the day after for some reason. There was anotehr pizza place years ago on Fort Apache and Peace, forgot the name of it, that was also good and I thnk used similar type of cheese. Both of these places had "soggy" pizzas but I loved em.

Ever since, I've tried MANY different pizza places and they just arent the same. Naked Pizza was just OK, but they closed their Flamingo/Decator location.

I have 2 of each of these grocery stores close to my house. I think Smith's is cheaper, but people keep telling me Albertson's is.

For about 4 years now, my eyes move on their own very slightly that it's almost impossible to see it in the mirror. I get dizzy when I read. I think it's because my eyes keep losing its place when Im reading. I can't read smoothly, it's like it "jumps" from word to word. It gets worse when I have eye strain, which is also caused by the eye movements. The movements are like every 1 second non stop. Also, it seems like the eye muscles are contracting more than moving around.

I've already seen multiple eye doctors, opthalmologists, neuro opthalmologists, neurologist, had MRI on my head, dozens of blood tests. The only thing that the MRI showed was that I may have migraines. But I've been taking qulipta and im not sure if it helps.

The only doctor I havent seen that Im interested in is an ENT, but there's only 2 in my city and they're not taking any new patients.

I had a New York Strip that I reverse seared yesterday and it overcooked it. I wanted medium rare and it was well done inside.

So I put it in the oven with a bluetooth wireless themormeter set at 115 degrees. Then heat up my stainless pan with avocado oil until my infrared thermometer showed like 440 degrees. Then I seared the steak on both sides for like a minute, then lowered the temperature to very low then I added butter and garlic, then basted. I think maybe I waited too long for the temp on the pan to lower and it overcooked it. I didn't want to burn the butter and garlic.

So my plan today is to do the same except I'll have another pan on low heat. After searing the steak on the high heat pan, I'll transfer it to the low heat pan already with melted butter and garlic then baste it.

Any tips? Do you guys think this is going to work?

The house across the street is a section 8 family and the kids have been nothing but problems. Their kids bring their friends over and are causing havoc. We live in an HOA community and I've seen one of their friends tag some electrical boxes. They also moved the portable basketball hoop from across the street to right outside their house and not move them back. Sometimes they move it right in the middle of the street and not move it after they're done. It's a very slow traffic street, but eventually someone needs to drive through. They also tear up the house. All the window blinds are visibly broken, the gate to the backyard is completely off the hinges and just laying on the ground.

The HOA is going to crack down on them, and they've only been here a few months. Not sure what to do, the kids are high school age. I can't talk to them about it, I've already seen them go at it with other neighbors. Also, my other neighbor has had her house broken into through the back sliding glass door. We've never had issues in this neighborhood until they moved in. She can't prove that its them that did it, but what a coincidence someone broke in and stole her son's PS5, laptop and jewelry in this time.

I'm a super noob to cooking, but is it just me or does steak that come in packages at the supermarket has that weird taste to it? I've been buying from their butcher area but is super expensive. Their pre packaged stuff is quite a bit cheaper, but when I cook it,, it's got that weird chemical taste to it.

But when other people cook it, like my sister who buys them on sales, they taste a lot better?

Is this normal? I get eye strain after reading 1 sentence. My eyes can't read smoothly, it "jitters" from word to word. I can't be on my phone for over an hour, I start to get dizzy.

I'm super noob at cooking. I don't wan to mess this up because it's expensive. The piece of ribeye is going to be like 20 bucks. I"ve cooked steak before but its always not too good on the cast iron pan.

So Im going to try air frying. There's some youtube videos but I want to make sure.

Im going to preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees and I'll also put a wireless bluetooth thermometer in the steak to make sure I get a medium rare.

I'll put adding a good amount of salt, pepper and maybe garlic powder?

I just need some advice to make this good, I dont want to mess anything up since it'll be my only meal for today.

I've lived here sine 1995 and that side of town has always been bad. You can't just walk or ride your bike without people messing with you, throwing shit at you while they drive by or to not be accosted. Every time I walk around East Charleston and Lamb, that area, there's always a good chance people mess with you. I can't count how many times where I'm just walking minding my own business in the street and a car drives by and someone throws a plastic bottle or something at you. It's usually the young teens that do it.

Im very, very new to cooking.

Ive been making these bacon wrapped cheese jalapenos. I always end up overcooking the bacon. If I dont, the jalapenos are still kinda raw and "crunchy"

Ive tried 400 degrees in the oven, 400 in the air fryer, 370 in the air fryer, 350 in the air fryer for 15 mins, 16 mins, 20 mins, and every minute in between

I'm lucky I bought my house in 2014 and I have not seen a single scorpion inside or outside the house. I have not seen a single spider either. I think it's all luck. People I know who live in old neighborhoods, new neighborhoods, East, West, South, North.. it's like it's all random. Some have scorpions, some don't.

Do you have scorpions? How often do you come across them? My coworker's wife just woke up with a scorpion in her hair while sleeping in her bedroom upstairs. It stung her hand when she panicked and tried to swipe it off.

They tried to talk me into signing up since I already have internet with them. $115 a month for unlimited internet and mobile.

How are they? If I sign up wit them and cancel my ATT, I save a whopping $100 a month on bills.

But I don't know how good the Cox Mobile is. Like, how good is their cell phone reliability and area connection?

I just bought an air fryer, its an instant pot vortex 6 Qt.

I've made several chicken wings already, a recipe I found of garlic parmesan on Youtube. I want to try something new. Something spicy. I've already found that 8 mins on each side is perfect for me.

Anyone got a good recipe? Something that sues chili powder or something?

I started Cox internet, and only internet (no TV or phone, etc..) for $100 a month since 2014. My data is capped at 1TB per month.

I called them up recently and the sold me on unlimited data plan and I think also a bit faster internet for $124 per month. No price increases in the future.

Am I overpaying? I know there's other internet options, but my internet NEVER goes down. I never, ever want to have internet downtime. It's all I do when I'm not at work.

I feel like other people are paying less than me for their Cox internet.

We're maintenance guys in the midwest. The maintenance guys at work are pooping their pants because this program is going to be implemented. All I hear is that there's GPS tracking on the phones and it tracks how much "work" you actually do in a day.

For the longest time, we just stand by and wait for work orders to come in. We do the work, then we go back to waiting, doing nothing. The bosses are laid back. It's been pretty easy most of the time.

Anyone here familiar with this program? I know it's popular.
