Working on crocheting a Jackass pillowcase.

Since almost nobody’s ever crocheted anything Jackass-related before, I decided to give it a go and spent two weeks on the first part of my throw pillow cover pattern. Although the skull and crutches logo is a decent first attempt, the teeth look somewhat uneven up close. Whereas the skull had more consistent stitching.

Made a Linkin Park song ranking this morning. Picking a champion was so hard due to the sheer number of hits!

Who know at least one song from each album would be featured in my ranking?

Just finished watching H2O: Just Add Water in full 🧜🏼‍♀️🌕

I started rewatching H2O: Just Add Water right on its 20th anniversary almost three weeks ago and just finished the last two episodes of the whole series today. Here are my thoughts on each season:

Season 1: Rikki, Cleo, and Emma showed impeccable chemistry and character development before and after entering the moon pool in the first episode, Metamorphosis. That episode showed the basis of each full moon episode afterward along with its effects: first with Emma’s wild mermaid behavior in Moon Spell, then Cleo’s siren song in The Siren Effect, and lastly Rikki’s loss of control over her powers in Bad Moon Rising. The supporting cast, (Lewis, Zane, Kim, Elliot, Byron) likewise, was also well-developed as the season progressed. As for Miriam, the main villain, she just disappears after the JuiceNet Cafe dance episode without explanation.

Season 2: The main mermaids continue their relationship with both their respective love interests and each other for the most part, this time with an even more fleshed out villain in Charlotte. She is by far the best antagonist of the whole show thanks to not only her attempts to steal Lewis from Cleo, but also gain mermaid powers of her own throughout the season. I find season 2 to be my favorite of the series due to its extensive characterization of its main cast in the second half. Even the climax highlights the teamwork Emma, Rikki, and Cleo put together in defeating Charlotte by the time the Moon of Fifty Years hits.

Season 3: Despite being slightly disappointed with Emma leaving the show, I found Bella to be a decent replacement thanks to her singing ability. However, I just wished I saw her home unlike Emma, and the settings were even more limited compared to the first two seasons. As for Will, he’s just supporting the mermaid trio save for his deep sea diving storyline. One thing I liked was Cleo’s relationship with Lewis in the first half of the season, and I cried when Lewis left at the end of S3E13. Another bright spot in an otherwise subpar season is Rikki’s increased connection to Mako Island and responsibility in the namesake cafe because she has the best character development of the main mermaids. And what better way to close out the series with Bella and the Band performing the theme song, “No Ordinary Girl,” at the cafe?
