Moon pools differ by strength

Moon pools differ by strength

So we know that different moon pools give different powers but do they also vary by strength? Because at least with mako we get an explanation that girls powers just split between them and if u go there alone (like charlotte did) u’ll get a “full package” and it doesn’t even have to be some special full moon. But Bella was alone in her Irish moon pool and only got jelly and crystal (?) powers. No weather control or some extra ability. Do u guys think it might be because that moon pool is just weaker than mako?

I made a quick sketch of the girls using their powers. Which one would you have liked to have? 🌊❄️🔥 My Instagram @hinkari_art

Would Orcas hunt the girls?

Heyy so I had this random thought. Orcas are predators to almost every living being under water, they hunt for fun and are very selective. They just eat the tongue of some whales because they can cherry pick the organs.

However, there hasn’t been a documented case where wild Orcas kill or hurt a human.

So technically the girls would be safe, right? I think they can sense our bone structure and don’t find us particularly delicious. They also seem to know that we are very smart and respect it, in a way.

But would they ignore that and just go for the girls‘ tail? Or would they realize that it‘s still a human, an odd looking one?
Obviously we can’t know but I‘d like to know your thoughts on this lol.

Please pardon my nonsense.

Lip products to replicate Rikki’s look?

Just curious if anyone had any lip product recommendations to achieve a similar look to Rikki or even any of the other girls? 🥰

Who was like Gracie and couldn’t handle being a mermaid anymore?

I’m on my rewatch and the more I rewatch it, the more I try to draw more connections between them and the Gracie era of Mako Mermaids. They talked about how Gracie was the one that struggled being a mermaid the most and got tired of it. We find out she gave her powers up after not being able to handle it.

Since we know Rikki is still a mermaid, who do you think would have given up their powers if they could? Do you think it’s only one or more who gave it up?

I personally think Emma would have given up her powers because she didn’t seem to love being a mermaid by itself. It seemed like she only loved it because she approached it logically and said “I know I can’t change this so I’ll make the most out of it” as if she’s only accepting her fate. I also think it’s because being a mermaid took away her ability to swim competitively and Emma is ambitious so that would eventually make her resentful.

Am i ever gonna like charlotte?

Im watching the show for the first time im close to the end of season 2 and a hate charlotte. I cant stand her, when she is on screen all i want is for her to leave. I don’t understand why louis hasn’t broken up with her yet, it doesn’t seem like he likes her at all he just tolerates her because she is his girlfriend. It got spoiled on TikTok that she becomes a mermaid. As a mermaid does she become friends with the girls? I really don’t want that to happen, I want her to swim to another continent and stay there.

Am i ever gonna like or at least tolerate her?

My thoughts on every Jonathan M. Shiff Productions finales except of course Kelly & without spoiling too much (random pics of some of the finales that I can found without trying to screenshot, mostly H2O, Mako & The Bureau of Magical Things).

Starting off with of course Ocean Girl with 4 Season finales and I think Season 3 is the weakest and not because it's bad or anything like that, I have overall mixed feelings towards it & the other 3 all of which are pretty good from what I can remember.

Thunderstone which has 3 Season finales and Season 1 is probably the weakest, Season 2 ended both nice and pretty dark and the Season 3 finale I think is my fav.

Horace and Tina, Cybergirl, Lightning Point, Scooter: Secret Agent, all 4 of them with their endings are pretty good, though if I had to pick the weakest one oof it's probably Lightning Point again it's not awful, but idk the other 3 ended very nicely, Scooter: Secret Agent is probably 3rd and then the other two are interchangeable.

Wicked Science with 2 season finales, of the two I can't really decide because I'm mostly positive on both.

The Elephant Princess also with 2 Season finales and of these I think I slightly prefer Season 1's end, Season 2's finale was alright.

The Bureau of Magical Things' 2 finales, Season 2 finale is my fav of the two even though I wish the series continued after it, but seeing it's been 5 years since it aired, it's probably never going to happen since the cast has moved on and the Season 1 finale was good too.

Reef Doctors' ending I liked it too because a lot of happened in it in 42 mins with Sam, Jack, Toby and rest at the Hope Island Clinic.

As for H2O & Mako starting off with the former, Season 2's finale is my fav, the other two are good but of course i have some issues like Sophie's rushed redemption which I didn't really buy via the moon pool and graduation.

And then Mako Mermaids' 3 finales is well Season 2's finale is again is my fav with how it was handled, Season 3's finale with just Rikki appearing, the truth revealed with the Water Dragon & dealt with and what's happening with everyone's end part and Season 1 is once again my least fav because Nixie what the heck girl siding with Cam in the prior EPs to now, thank god for Cam's redemption arc in Season 2 and later Season 3 with the Ocean Cafe group especially Carly after she did find out the secret.

My thoughts on every Jonathan M. Shiff Productions first EP except Kelly which you can't even find it's 1st EP anywhere, but only just their first EP from Season 1 & like before just some pics without doing screenshots so this is all I can found via random pics.

Ocean Girl S1 EP 1 - The Girl in the Sea, ah yes our introduction to Neri aka the Ocean Girl, the Bates family (Dianne and her two sons, Brett & Jason), Winston, ORCA and almost everyone from there. As far as first EPs go, it's pretty good & for what's to come later. It's good overall.

Thunderstone S1 EP 1 which doesn't have a EP title is another good start to the series introducing us to Noah Daniels, his family like his sister Becky, his parents Liz & Simon & North Col with a nice end seeing the Nomads lead by Arushka. Honestly solid EP introduction.

Horace and Tina EP 1 - Arrival, man what a trip this was, introduces us to Lauren moving from Canada to Australia living with her mum meeting & living with her stepbrother Max & stepfather Steve, also seeing the animatronics who guess that is & the many side characters at least in this EP anyway.

Cybergirl EP 1, nostalgia biased aside, I really like this EP on showing Cy, Jackson and his father Hugh, Isaac & Xanda and of course the side characters and River City.

Pirate Islands EP 1 - The Game, so much going on, the main cast Kate, Nicholas & Sarah and then Mars, Blackheart & his crew, Carmen and the Castaways, the whole game itself & yeah good EP.

Wicked Science S1 EP 1 - The Gift which again I liked, Toby, Russ, Dina, Elizabeth, Verity, Garth being the main cast & the side characters at least in Season 1 until Season 2 completely changed them for the new ones including Sacha as the main girl after Dina left.

Scooter: Secret Agent EP 1 - Operation: Destiny it has a very goofy & silly introduction to well Scooter and introducing to the main cast like Melanie & her dad Attilo and little brother Mario, Katrina, Gordon Mckenna and his gang like Fridge & Donald, Tiapan & Danny, fun EP.

The Lost Treasure of Fiji EP 1 - Game On which I count as separate to the original Pirate Islands despite how I think of this show as a whole, it's alright with introductions to Tyler, Allison, Kirra, Marty, a different Blackheart, Lilly and the village people to which Sol is the main one they focus on.

The Elephant Princess S1 EP - Coming of Age, I liked the opening first off, introducing Alex & her friends Amanda & JB, Kuru, Vashan, Diva, Omar, Alex's family the mum & dad Anita and Jim, her little sister Zoe, Manjipoor which is the kingdom who Alex used to live there, like Wicked Science some or most of these guys & places sadly don't return in S2.

Lightning Point EP 1 - Wipeout, it's decent for me, once again we got our main cast, Amber, Zoey & Kiki, along with Luca, Brandon, Madison, Amber's mum Olivia Mitchell who is a policewoman and some of the side characters that appear in this first EP.

Reef Doctors EP 1 which like some of them has no EP title, It is actually pretty good. First off main cast introduced, Sam, Olivia, Freya, Gus, Rick, Toby, Nell, Sam's estranged son Jack, Sam's ex husband Andrew, Sonny & Malcolm aka Sam's rival.

The Bureau of Magical Things Season 1 EP 1 - Magical Mishaps, the only one that felt like two part story due to it's ending but I digress, probably one of my fav first EP introductions due many things like the music score, meeting up Kyra, Lily, Imogen, Darra, Ruksy, Kyra's stepdad Steve, her best friends Mathilda & Peter, Professor Maxwell, Doris this dog that Kyra walks with who she can communicate with, appears again in EP 4, Ladder and the Library of Magic & oh yeah River City again.

So what do I think of H2O: Just Add Water S1 EP 1 - Metamorphosis & Mako: Island of Secrets S1 EP 1 - Outcasts, the last ones I have to say about? Well the former is ok, the one thing that sadly holds it back is the acting but I understand why because Phoebe, Claire & Cariba were just starting out on their acting career, while some of the others like Angus, Burgess had at least some acting crops with stuff prior.

While the latter was actually a good introduction EP with almost of all of the main & support cast appear at the time, Sirena, Nixie, Lyla, Zac, Cam, David, Evie and yeah Aquata, Sirena's sister. Carly & Rita as well as Zac's parents don't appear until EP 2 & 3. Yeah unfortunately or fortunately depending who you ask, Lyla, Nixie & much later Sirena, they are not in S2 for the former two and S3 for the latter.

Season 3 ages/owning Cafe’s

So I’m rewatching H20 right now for the one millionth time and I’m now on season 3. I never used to think it was weird that Zane owned the cafe with Rikki or anything, but as season 3 goes on there’s a few scenes that suggests that they are still in school?? I might be ignorant in the fact that Australian school ages may be different, and again I’m not sure how old they’re meant to be in S3. However I still think it’s a weird to show them still in school and talk about it in many scenes, but also having Zane and Rikki own and run a fully operating cafe at that school age??

Edit: As I’m reading the comments I realize I completely forgot that there was the whole scene where they talk about Zane’s Dad purchasing the cafe and Zane just basically manages it.

I absolutely adore Rikki's wardrobe.

Rikki is my most fav character I absolutely love her wardrobe out of all 3. These cute tops with baggy jeans and converse with a ponytail or bun and a smart watch. Simple yet beautiful.

Love Rikki sm her character is my fav and her wardrobe too.

Cleo is OP

I’m thinking about making a YouTube video about how op Cleo’s power’s actually are (but I’m thinking without limitations) like if using her powers took little to no energy and she could harness it all at once. Or the technicals. Like she can technically make water spawn out of seemingly nowhere because there’s water everywhere. She could pull water out of her tail and transform back but for some reason she doesn’t in the show?

Hear me out on this one: she could “fly”. It’s her ability to either use water as a jet pack, or her ability to control wind. I mean the three mermaids did make Lewis fly out of the volcano.

Another one: she could control the body movement of others (based on her ability to move liquids and we know it’s not just water because she moved Miriam’s blood) so if you think about it, maybe she could control others.

Tell me if I’m just being silly or if that’s actually something you’d watch on yt 😅 I’ll get fully into it and everything dw. And if you have any out of the box ideas for the 3 mermaids, lmk!

Every single H2O, Mako & other Jonathan M. Shiff actor that appeared in Reef Doctors!

Yes I did finally watch all 13 EPs of Reef Doctors in it's entirely on Internet Archive found and yeah I didn't expect all of these actors mainly the one offs that appeared in Jonathan M. Shiff's only tv show that has a M Rating most of which are from H2O & Mako Mermaids and also filmed in Queensland, Port Douglas the same place that Ocean Girl was filmed at back in the 90s.

The one off actors appeared in EP 2, 3, 5, 9 & 12 respectively.

Richard Brancatisano, Tasneem Roc who both play main characters while the rest only appeared in one EP.

Now that I've seen almost every Jonathan M. Shiff related TV series via YT, Streaming or Internet Archive available in full (except Kelly partially & the rest before), which obscure ones would I recommend to watch outside of H2O & Mako which both are popular & well known?

The most underrated ones for me is Scooter: Secret Agent, Reef Doctors, Cybergirl, Horace and Tina, the original Pirate Islands, Lightning Point most of which have 1 season, Thunderstone (the only one in here with 3 Seasons) and even though I'm not the biggest fan of The Lost Treasure of Fiji, I still think it's watchable enough on it's own and yeah I guess The New Adventures of Ocean Girl (which imo can never top the original Ocean Girl), the only animated series that Jonathan was at least involved, unlike H2O: Mermaid Adventures.

https://archive.org/details/@daniel_prior147

As for the mid tier recommendations, those being Wicked Science, The Bureau of Magical Things (shame that Netflix removed it), The Elephant Princess (geo-blocked like crazy on YT & the Internet Archive vids sadly not support & thus they don't play unless you download them).

As for Ocean Girl, my personal fav one I highly recommend, but don't sleep on the others of course as they deserved some more attention so via the links above & below and I would like to see someone or anyone do a ranking on the non-JMSP mermaid TV shows at some point.
