An elderly woman took her husband to the doctor because his foot was hurting. The doctor investigated and found that he had a thumb tack embedded between his toes. Embarrassed the wife said, “I’m sorry doctor, I’m sure this is the first case like this you’ve seen.” The doctor was polite and reassured her that this had happened before.

The next day, she was back at the doctor because her husband’s food was still hurting. The doctor investigated again, and found that between two of his other toes, he had an engorged tick that had gone unnoticed. Again, the wife was embarrassed.

The doctor reassured her and said, “Believe me, this isn’t the first case of Tic-Tac-Toe we’ve seen.”
