I'm in a weird situation and need some advice. Before I am judged: I have been looking for answers everywhere and was able to a couple of people on LinkedIn who have done a similar transition, which is not enough for me to take a decision.

Information about me:

- Accounting student and determined to become CPA in USA

- German citizen, fluent in German and English

- Willing to learn about IFRS and so on to increase chances.

- Willing to work 2-3 years in the US to gain experience (longer if necessary)

The European in me does not want to stay in the US for all my life. I want to live in Germany again, but work in Switzerland, preferably in a finance role like Controller. What are my chances? How should I prepare after graduation to attract Swiss employers, in terms of work experience? Can I already prepare, since I'm only a second year accounting student?

Any answer that can give me a slight clue on how to plan my return to Germany would mean a lot to me!

Welcher Tätigkeit kann man als CPA aus USA in DE, CH oder Österreich nachgehen? Ich wär mit einem Jahresgehalt von 80k+ mehr als zufrieden, wenn die Worklife balance stimmt (z.B. selten mehr als 40 Stunden die Woche, keine Arbeit am Wochenende usw.)

Kurz zu mir: Ich bin 21, bin vor paar Jahren in die USA gezogen über ein Familienmitglied und bin auf dem Weg mein CPA zu erlangen. Jedoch bin ich mit dem Leben in den Vereinigten Staaten nicht zufrieden und würde gerne so schnell wie es geht nach Europa ziehen, aber nur mit einem festen Plan. Ich spreche fließen Deutsch und hab auch mein Abitur dort erlangt.

Edit: Ich bin bereit jeglicher Arbeit nachzugehen, die was mit dem Bereich rundum Wirtschaft zu tun hat. Mir fällt jetzt nur Controlling ein.
