Group soft pallets?

Is there a way to make a soft group pallete? Like a soft colour pallete. So I could make an intensity fader for example and choose which fixtures from the group I’m increasing the intensity for?

Touring lighting tech without much knowledge

So I’ve been working at a venue for 2.5 years now as a lighting tech/op and when I started I didn’t know ANYTHING about the lighting world and to be frank, the venue didn’t either, they had a basic show-file run off MyDMX 3, about a year ago I bought a Cham sys mq50 as I felt it was time to own my own starter level desk, I’ve been on a couple of tours now with bands that have picked me up via the venue, but having been self taught I feel as if I’m missing vital knowledge?

I can comfortably operate my desk but I still lack understanding of network systems and the actual workings inside a fixture and stuff like that.

How do I start to learn everything that I need to know to progress further and not have to pretend I understand something when loading into a venue then “popping to the toilet” to research quickly?

Thanks!

Post Tour Feelings

Does anyone have a solution for the overwhelming feeling of nothingness after a tour? I just got back from 2 weeks on tour and I can’t stop thinking about it and how nice it was, me and the band were staying in an Airbnb for the whole thing so we all became really good pals, and now it’s sort of nothing? And I feel like my life before tour is terrible now and I’m not sure how to go back to it and be happy….. anyone else have this? If so how did you cope ahaha

Pre tour nerves

So I’m about to go on my first tour, it’s 2 weeks long and in decently sized venues (700 cap) compared to what I’m used to (300 cap) on rigs I don’t know with people I haven’t met.

I have everything pre patched and (fingers crossed) all I have to do is plug ‘n’ play, but I just can’t shake the nerves? I’m still young and havent really been alone with people I don’t know that well for this length of time.

Does anyone have any advice for how to battle these nerves? It’s not so much the nerves of something going wrong but more so the fact that I’m away for a large period of time with people I don’t realllyyyy know!

Help with tech spec

I’m doing a tour with a band next week and I’ve been sent this tech spec, are the numbers in squares channels I need to park at 100%? Getting a bit confused as this is my first proper tour! Also what do the numbers in the circles relate to?

If it’s too blurry, it says ‘dimmer uni/address” next the square bottom right
