I’m young 26m, dad wants to retire in like 2 years and my mom has always been a stay at home mom. I’m currently an on call custodian for the school district. The pay isn’t enough and it takes too long to get an actual position, I want out. We all live in rented apartment. I can’t sacrifice going to Uni for 4 years while I would have rent due. I’m specifically looking for a trade job, maybe starting out as a helper/labourer in a metal shop of some sorts. I currently make 27.00/hr as a Custodian, I wouldn’t mind starting at the bottom, lower than what I’m earning right now, if it means better pay in the following years.
