Did anyone feel like The Old Country under used the setting?

The first few missions where you were riding horses and not doing much fighting felt very good, but as soon as you got a car there was never any need to use a horse and the guns were laser accurate.

Given that Sicily in the 1900s was extremely rural with only a few major paved roads, it would’ve been nice for driving to feel a lot more dangerous and unreliable with more bandit presence.
